    Morning all!
Am having a browse trying to maintain my sanity. OH is in ICU on a ventilator having had flu symptoms for a week, now has a lobe on each lung working and Drs not sure if it was the flu or something else, went into respiratory failure on Saturday. As you can imagine normal life has been suspended as we all cling to each other, told the kids last night today we cry, tomorrow we get back to helping him fight, which at least helped DS to blow bubbles from his nose for a second! So, all healing prayers vibes and spoons gratefully accepted, we will all put on our big girl panties and steel ourselves for the latest battle! xxxx

Oh Jools thats awful news! I hope your OH recovers quickly and you manage to stay strong.

    Love to you all,

Good morning, mild here today and a nice day planned......gym, then food shopping, then (after shower) lunch with 2 fabulous ladies from my Design course and textile group. then on to visit another friend. Then home to do some work and some cleaning and tidying.
Have been given some new blood pressure tablets by doc and they do make me feel a bit weird.......sort of dizzy and sick. I am hoping that as my bod gets used to them that will wear off. They might have made my blood pressure a bit too low perhaps? Dunno.
Need to buy stamps for cards today as well as food.
Have had a good weekend, OH was here and we got a lot of stuff done towards Xmas.
I hope all you with problems are getting things sorted and those who are poorly are well enough to enjoy the run up to Xmas.

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Bargain Bird, hope you have a fabby day xxxx

Damp and mild here today too, washing will have to go on the airer again. DD is out, she stayed the night with her mates, so hust me and the dog here.

Got both trees up at the weekend, so its feeling more christmassy here, need to wrap the final presents today, still have not done it :D.

Had a brilliant night out on Sat for oh's works do, but was suffering all day yesterday, only moved off the couch to lay on the bed :rotfl:so today I need to catch up, need to give the house a good clean, online shop for delivery saturday, go and see my dad, and wrap presents.

I am undecided, should I order everything we need for christmas food wise online, or should I save myself a few bob, and go to several shops where I know I can get things cheaper ? not sure I can face the shops, might be easier online :o

Lamb tonight with mash and veggies.

Tru, thats mt favourite carol :D

    Have good days all xx

Jools my best wishes to you, hope your OH is better soon.

    Happy birthday to Bargain Bird.

Once again, Monday rolls round. It's my big housework day, so I'll be getting stuck in soon.

I'm also going to have a good rummage in the freezer, and get everything we are going to eat this week to the top. This week is very much an 'eat out of the freezer' week, as I want to make sure I have room for the Christmas stuff that'll be going in this week. I don't like to go food shopping between Christmas and the New year (apart from any fresh fruit and veg), so my freezer will be chockablock with additional bread and milk etc.

Also need to write a letter of condolence to my mums friend, who's husband has died. Most letters I do these days are typed on the computer, or emailed or even texts, but for that type of letter, and also for the older generation (she's 86)' I think only a hand written letter will do. Trouble is, as I'm not used to it, my hand aches after one page!

Haddock for dinner tonight, I like to have fish a couple of times a week.

    Have a good day.
