Hi Flump. All going in the right direction for you. The odd £20 will add up but I appreciate you need some life balance too. Also maintaining is a big achievement so keep at it and don't be hard on yourself.
I have had approved a mortgage break for next month so have overpaid £1047 so £1825 paid off in last couple of weeks. Debt outstanding £5899 so that has taken me to 90% paid off. Very pleased.
Lost 1lb this week. I'd like to loose at least another 35lb (2.5 stone) this year.
2 HH - 1lb weight loss, total loss = 3 stone 6 lb

Hi Flump
Really pleased you are going to be doing the same and sticking around. I did look for another thread but didn't find one. Going to keep posting even if here alone as it keeps me motivated whether that is celebrating or fessing up. It would be fab if you do too.
Planning to stick with low carb as have stuck to it for 8 months and I feel that it is sustainable.
Hope to be done with debt in 6-8 months depending on what life throws at me.
What's your plan with debt, are you on a DMP? Have you projected where you will be by the end of the year? Just asking because before my DMP I spent 2 years trying to tackle it without significant progress, what a waste of effort. Grrrr
Anyway look forward to hearing from you.

Hi HH
I am not on a dmp. I am hoping to try to snowball my way out of it now that I have had my real LBM. Did my soa a couple of days ago and starting to realise how tough it is going to be but want to try as never really have before. Food planning will hopefully help a lot - with both pounds! I haven't really looked into a dmp. I intend to focus for 6 months and then review things and see where get to. If I can't make progress then I will look at dmp. Fantastic that you can see light at end of tunnel. How long has it taken if don't mind me asking?

Well first weigh in of 2014 and lost a pound. I would love it to be more but my target is 35lbs this year so 1 down and 34 to go

Flump, I am just approaching my 45th month. Subject to life events I will be debt free by month 49/52. I'm guessing our financial circs were quite alike. I started off with £59214, have been charged £5854 interest so £65068 will have been paid back over approx. 4 years. I don't mean to sound rude but how confident are you that you are accurately predicting your DFD? Reason I ask is that my calculations used to be way out as I hadn't truly factored in the full impact of interest charges and how that hampered my ability to pay off the capital. That's why I wasn't making progress. I have a spreadsheet listing all debts that I look at all the time. I finally after starting the DMP managed to populate every cell manually so that I could accurately predict in whatever month from that time right through to the end of the DMP how much would be outstanding on the DMP and for each individual creditor. Also allows you to look at what if scenarios so you can reach the DFD sooner. I wish I had gone on the DMP two years earlier. Please feel free ask any questions.

Hello - well not the most inspiring start for me. I did not make it to group last week and have had a rubbish 2 weeks - resulting in 2.5lb gain!! I was on verge of giving it all up last night but decided I did not want undo the 2 stones from last year.
Not sure what went so wrong - no planning of food and snacking I think. I had stressful week on a course at work where ha to fit my own job around it - so worked through lunch and in evening. Combine this with 2 lots of car repairs = 400+ an having to have a new washer (plus a waste of money call out) = 450. So things gone wrong financially and foodwise.
Now back to needing to just get through the month again.
Thanks for info on dmp - might have to go this route... your story is inspiring.
One step forwards.... determine though to get my mojo backWatch this space!

I am using the snowball calculator on stoozing.com btw. Not sure how accurate but was inspired to see there was potentially a way out!

Morning Flump
Sorry to hear about the car woes.
Have you considered trying min payment calculator here too? That way you will have confidence in the other tool if results come out in the same area?
