Plusnet to offer unlimited broadband

I don't know where you got that mis-information from, if you are an existing Plusnet customer you can log into your account and change to any of the new packages from your next billing date.
You misunderstand me, I have switched on to the £9.99/month unlimited deal and it is a great deal.
But only new customers can get the same thing for £4.99/month for 12 months, i.e. an unbelievably good deal. If you are an existing customer, to get the £4.99 deal you would have to cancel and come on as a new customer again, you can't just switch products and get it.0 -

That's normally the case though? Did you not get a deal when you joined? Although I am not getting the 1/2 price one when I switch to unlimited I still get a £5 discount from the 6 month deal I started with back in August?0 -

If you are switching from adsl to fibre you will need a different router, because adsl routers aren't compatible fttc products.0 -

@savemoney
I assume you need a MAC as well.
As far as you wiring is concerned, it really depends on how easy the cable run is from the current master socket. Sometimes it's easier for OR to run a new cable round the outside of the house to where you want the modem & router.
The other options you have, is there a power socket in the box room, is there one in the meter cupboard (or could you get one easily installed there) so if the cable run from current Master to meter cupboard is easy and you have power there, you could have the modem there and run your own ethernet cable from the modem to where your router currently is. Similarly from Box room if Modem was fitted there. But I'd be looking at how easy is it to run new cable outside for new master socket where your current router is.0 -

Thanks for the concern but I have been told that I cannot leave on numerous occasions without penalty after many, many issues from your side. Unless your company's unhelpful attitude changes I shall keep simply keep being unhappy with Plusnet and spreading the word of my numerous issues in my role as a broadband champion.
In your own mind I think!
I've been with them for many years, and find them a quality provider; I won't benefit from new deals as am on Market 1 Exchange, and no LLU's to drive price down:mad:0 -
No, if you switch to unlimited you will lose the discount as per their FAQ http://community.plus.net/unlimited-faq/#9.
I must have missed that. I only had 1 left so only losing out on £3.50 as the new unlimited service is £1.50 less than extra. I think I will survive
Rolled over to unlimited yesterday !! Quite seemless and liberating :cool:0
