Hi,
Was just looking for some advice. I am hoping to get married this summer but only have a 10k budget, so we are thinking of getting married abroad. We looked into Santorini but the quotes we were receiving were scarily high, 5k for a photographer because he has to travel over from the main land...So now I am looking at Turkey, but haven't got a clue where to start... has any been married there before and can recommend places? or been married abroad and can recommend a cheap lovely place where we can all have a great time?

Does Scotland count?
You may be better posting in the dedicated weddings board which you can find in the "Christmas and other Yuletide Festivals" section. Obviously :undecided0 -
Depends whether you want a UK type wedding with lots of guests we got married in the states whilst on holiday it cost $25 dollars for the licence.0

I got married in Istanbul but it was in a registry office with a stranger wearing a flat cap as the witness and the locals were skinning a goat on our journey back!

Thanks Gloomendoom, will try the Christmas and other Yuletide Festivals too
Would consider Scotland, anywhere that is cheap and nice
Any good locations? nearlyrich, will have a look at the states too... we are going to las vagas in Jan, may just visit the little chapel
Don't think our mothers would be too happy though
FatVonD, that made me laugh! Been looking at Olu Deniz, some places do wedding packages, anyone know if the are any good or know of any good ones? I like the sound of the ones where the alcohol is in included, as our families can drink for Britain
And yeah, my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I read 5k for the wedding photographer....crazy price x

I don't know about packages but I do know a few of the hotels there if that's any help?
The Becekiz Beach Hotel is the smartest and right on the beach.
