Again, I think the "14 April" bit is just a bit of good advice because it can take a couple of weeks for any standard DDs to show.
You can bet the 14 days, and even if it takes 14 days, you are still well in time for May 1st, when the T&Cs change. Never mind what it says in any letter, the T&Cs are the only thing that counts.
I am out of this debate now, beginning to feel like I have led the horses to water.
Oh yes I see what you mean now, I'm a bit slow to grasp sometimes, calms the panic a bit now, hopefully all could turn out well then fingers crosssed.Thanx

When you say you set another 2 lotteries up today did you use the same account for direct debit or do they allow you to have more than one direct debit account per member?
Or did you have to create 2 more lottery accounts to do that?
I set up:
1 dd for thunderball - reward acc 1
1 dd for lottery - reward acc 2
1 dd for lottery - reward acc 3
All from same lottery account.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Thanks I just set up another lottery. I chose lucky dip as when the savings accounts have kicked in I will cancel the lotteries and I dont want to know my numbers.Thanx

I set up a tesco online saver on friday and added the reward accounts as a linked account. the direct debits are showing on the reward accounts today.
I did open a post office one and set it as a linked account but they are sending something in the post which will probably be holding things up.
Will set up national lottery and am going to try and do the same for my OH but there are additional hurdles there so could be a lost cause.0 -
Both my DD are now officially up and running and paid already for April. While logging in (and out) to check my account, I got the following message:
In January, we told you about some important changes to your Reward Current Account which will take effect on 1st May 2013. Here’s a reminder about what’s changing and to make sure you know what to do next.
Set up at least two different direct debits by 14th April 2013
If you want to remain in the Reward Current Account, you need to make sure you have at least two different direct debits set up by 14th April 2013, otherwise you’ll be moved onto our Current Account on 2nd May 2013.
If you haven’t got two different direct debits set up, it’s easy to do. Simply switch them from another account by using our online form or you can set up new ones by contacting each company directly. If you need any help, just call our dedicated team on 0845 300 0031.
What else is changing?
The Reward Current Account is designed to be your main bank account and from 1st May 2013, you'll receive a £5 reward each month you use it as your main bank account and remain in credit. By main bank account we mean an account you use to pay in your salary or other credits (minimum of £750 per month) and pay out at least two different direct debits, each calendar month.
From 1st May 2013, your fee-free overdraft buffer is also increasing from £10 to £50. This means you'll pay no planned or unplanned overdraft fees if you go overdrawn by up to £50.
Note the the text in bold, that's a new one. So far, we assumed that if you didn't meet the new requirements, they whould have written to you on 2/5 saying that in 2 months (so July) your account will be downgraded, but it seems that they count the notice already given. Fair enough, they gave ample warning. You wanna hear about my new obsession?

With the tesco bank I cleaned the cookies on my computer and after that it failed to recognise my computer and as I don't use a mobile phone for tesco to send an access code to and they will not send it to my email address I now have to wait for the code to be posted to me. Thats pretty annoying, I gave all my security details over the phone and answered lots of questions but they still dont do it.
Not very impressed with the website either its quite slow and I wouldnt use the bank if it hadnt been for this reason. Principality seem a bit more professional. Post office are just slow to set up, not had a username and password sent to me or any kind of set up until the letter comes from them and I applied on 5thThanx

If you don't use a phone that can receive text messages, Tesco Banking is probably not for you. You might have to wait for that code to be sent by snailmail dozens of times.0

Thats what I thought, they didnt offer to send it to my home phone so I thought they probably knew it wouldnt work or something but I have had text messages sent over my home phone before that come out as voice texts.
It will do just to keep the reward accounts going but that is all I will use it for.Thanx

I never clear my cookies.
But then I have expert knowledge of what links are real and what aren't. Then again, I don't really see the need for anyone to.0 -
I only clear cookies when I want to go through a cashback site or it wont trackThanx
