I always see them advertised at this time of year but have never bought any. Are they any good?0

Am really annoyed with these - have fallen at the first hurdle as they don't stretch over my walking shoes. Stopped me from being where I needed to be this evening as my road is like an ice rink, and I'm petrified of slipping.VfM4meplse wrote: »Got some for the whole family, at 99p per pair was affordable.
I dread to think of my parents slipping on ice but can't see them being impressed with them when I hand them over when I next see them tbh. If they don't do the job I'll try Amazon.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Yaktrax are amazing and ive found the easiest way to do your shopping with them is to take a slip on pair type of spare shoes so in the foyer you can just change shoes then do opposite when you need to go back in the ice for work etc its perfect and id defo spend a few extra pound ive had my yaktrax now for 3 winters and still perfect x2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.0

I have got the Yaktrax ones as well they are great got them for about a tenner in one of the newspaper magazines and used them last year and this year brilliant value for money and no slipping0
-
YakTrax seem very popular. Are they durable, or are we talking using them for just one snow season?
Will walking on the occasional non-snowy pavement wreck them?0 -
I have Yaktrax and this is the third winter of using them. I wouldn't go out on the ice without them now, they give you so much confidence. No, walking on non-snowy pavement wont wreck them, they're very strong.0
