Thanks jjlancs. The ones i need, the medium are not free to deliver though, so that bumps the price up to over £7.
I've found these though on Amazon too for £3.29 and free delivery - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ice-Grippers-Slip-Snow-Grips/dp/B005TUCHTS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_20 -

I would go for the Yaktrax myself, keep an eye open on Amazon for a good price.0 -
No shortage of good prices, just the delivery costs that are a killerI would go for the Yaktrax myself, keep an eye open on Amazon for a good price.

I have seen Yaktrax in sports shops, so worth checking them out if you have one near you.0

I bought mine a couple of years ago at Sports Direct - I'm sure they are Yaktrax or the same style at least - metal spirals and cover the whole bottom of the shoe. They were absolutely indispensable on icy pavements.
I seem to remember they were about £6 a pair so it might be worth trying SD - they had them hanging up on a display behind the counter, and I'm pretty certain I saw them in there last year.0 -
Is the sizing accurate, or do you have to adjust as with some of the brands on Amazon?I seem to remember they were about £6 a pair so it might be worth trying SD - they had them hanging up on a display behind the counter, and I'm pretty certain I saw them in there last year.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think they came in 3 sizes - small, medium & large. I take a size 6 and the medium fitted fine.
The wire spirals are better than the studs as the studs can get lost.0
