This is spooky. I was about to write a similar post and I've had exactly the same experience with Vodafone today right down to them accusing me of rooting the phone and doing something I shouldn't have. Never done anything other than loading stuff from Google Play and carrying out Vodafone's own updates. Will be back on the phone to them in the morning and will read them the riot act. Thanks martin_j and all those who responded I was going mad trying to treason with them

    Hi martin_j,

Thanks for making me aware of your concerns.

If you'd like me to take a closer look at things could you email me with the relevant details via the link in our profile here?

All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it will take you to the Contact us form on our website.

To ensure that it reaches us could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line and once our automated reply arrives update the thread with your email reference number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

    Lee

What would be really useful if you had a closer look and escalated to the higher level why your repairs centre is so notoriously rogue and why they "couldn't understand why" the OP "was angry, apparently being accused of something and having to spend a day making phone calls to disprove their claims is perfectly acceptable".

I know, I am dreaming. You have more important job to do: plugging countless holes everywhere instead of changing the system to prevent the same problems happening again.

Or alternatively, it's impossible to have "a closer look and escalate" without ANY information such as dates, references numbers etc - I expect Vodafone have probably repaired more than one Samsung phone over the last few months!
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.
  • Lee any chance you could also have a closer look at my case as I am in a similar situation as martin_j? I have been without a phone now for over 2 weeks with very little chance of seeing any improvement before the New Year.

    Hi grumbler,

My bad, I overlooked the OP's update in post 18.

Whilst I accept that the thread doesn't paint the best of pictures I can assure you that we do investigate the concerns our customers raise with us as thoroughly as possible to ensure that any shortfalls in customer service can be addressed.

It's a Galaxy S3 that's just over 6 months old. I litterly just got it back from Vodafone's "repair" centre and am now trying to sort something out with Samsung as Vf have washed their hands of me unless I stump up £100.
  • Martin J,

Personally I would want some kind of compensation for the false accusations and stress caused by Voda.

Don't let them get away with it!
