Chris, have you taxed it online yet?
If your in a hurry to do so then get ya finger oot lad.0 -
Your tax already expired 13 days ago (as someone has pointed out) so unless your car is currently SORNd, you may get a penalty from the DVLA. In any event, an insurance certificate sent via electronic means (via email) is perfectly acceptable at the post office now days. Also, when taxing on line, the DVLA electronically check for insurance and MOT without needing physical copies. When you do tax the car, it will commence on the 1st December.
Have you been asleep for the past few years?
Then print it off and take the printed copy with the valid MOT etc and get it taxed at your local Post Office .(where you will obtain the Tax Disc straightaway !)
This happened to me on November 30th .

The answer is stated above..Get your Insurance Company to email the Certificate of Insurance.
Then print it off and take the printed copy with the valid MOT etc and get it taxed at your local Post Office .(where you will obtain the Tax Disc straightaway !)

if I don't receive my insurance docs tomorrow, I will contact my insurance to get my document on a email and print it out then i will go to the post office to get tax on it. If they don't accept it i will try another post office otherwise i will order on line.
if i don't get it done by tomorrow, will the police come to my door or nothing will happens unless if i get caught on the road?0 -
The police won't come knocking on your door.0

You cannot drive it until you get the new tax disc.
Why didnt you just apply online? It would have arrived in a couple of days.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Failing that, see if they arrive tomorrow and tax at the post office. No one will come knocking at your door, especially as its off road.0 -
Pardon my curiosity but why is the OP panicking because Yesterday (13th) was the last day to get his road fund sorted ? The license date runs from the 1st day of the start month to the last day of the term. Is he assuming you have 14 days leeway to renew ? not so he should have sorted it 3 weeks agoYou can be fined for not displaying a current road fund licence, it's a myth that you have 14 days to renew. People have been fined sometimes when their disc has fallen off the windscreen, it's a failure to display fine, however the police do have direct communication with the DVLA and will know if you have taxed it, but you may still be fined. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

My niece's stupid partner assumed he had 14 days grace to buy a new Taxdisc. 3 days after the old one expired, the local Police found his car parked on a public highway so removed it to their pound.
The OP is ignoring the 'tax it online' advice, so if his car gets towed, then that's his hard cheese for ignoring good advice.Never Knowingly Understood.
