Ok, to anyone making note of my earlier recipe, be sure to GREASE the pan, parchment, or greaseproof paper, these things like to stick! They taste completely awesome though. :)

So I have been cooking and baking all day but now have lots of food for the family buffet so start shortly!
AS I said yesterday, I'd normally spend around £60 on this kind of thing on lots of pre-packed rubbish. I'm hoping it all goes down ok with the family. I have baked 4 different quiches, have a cheese platter, seafood platter, veggies with 2 different HM dips and will be putting potato wedges on in a bit so I can serve these hot.

Total spend £1.95 on eggs (but still have 8 left) DH also picked up grapes and a baguette he says it was around £3 but has left the receipt in the car so I'll update properly when I have the figure.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERONE!

I would like to try for an Annual total of £2,600 this year please.

I will have a little spend to update later, but so far this month I have not had to shop. There are still too many Xmas bits and bobs around, so hoping I will get through to next week:)

Good for you, it all sounds lovely :A

I have 'made do' a lot recently and it is amazing what you can come up with when you have a go.

You have inspired me! We have the inlaws coming at the weekend and I am not going to spend a thing. Instead I will use up what I have. There is turkey soup in the freezer and I have cream cheese, digestives and a lemon that will do a lemon cheesecake so all I need to do is come up with something creative for mains (which I am determined I will) and we are sorted.

    Have a lovely party:beer:

    Hi all :)

Got a quick questions as a inexperienced newbie....how do i make a signiture? I would like to update my spends from time to time without posting, but can't see how.

Spent a grand total of £3 today in Poundland on carpet cleaner, mouthwash and toilet rolls. I wasn't desperate for them, but noticed we were low on supplies and i was in town paying money into the savings account.

Another thing is do i include spends on non-food/cleaning items in my budget? I bought 2 pairs of jogging bottoms from Sports Direct for £13. Not keen on sports clothes but need something comfy to wear other than leggings and tights whilst on maternity leave and figured after LO is born i will be going to the gym and therefore i will get even more wear out of them.

Current total spend is £11.32 (not including clothing).

    Suze :)

  • had a total fail on last months budget and the weight loss/healthy eating plan , but consequently i have now got a lot of stuff to use up in the fridge and freezer and very full store cupboards .
I am trying to only buy fresh veg this month and then only if we really need it (as opposed to just wanting it) . I only have £20 left to spend this month (i used a lot of this months money over xmas) .
so please put me down for £250 but £230 has already been spent :o
i shall be writing a menu plan for the next 2 months over the next week so that i can really try to get this under control

    Happy New Year everyone

Love the grocery challenge and although I stick to it, I always seem to stop posting half way through the month. So my new year's resolution is to keep my total on here rather than in my diary (page a day from poundland!).

Have just done the first shop which came in at a low £22.00 at !id!. Our local store had no fresh meat or bread and pretty low stocks of veg so am assuming there had been no delivery today!

Quorn minci chilli for tea (3 packs for £5 at !id!). I'll bulk it out so should last a couple of days.

Oops, should say, hoping to stick to £300 for the month. Will keep record in sig, no need to be on front page.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.:)
