Probably a really strange queztion but can anyone think of anything I can do with sachets of cup a soups other than the obvious? Tia

We make a sauce that we have with grilled chicken and rice with golden veg cuppa soups. Use as many sachets as people are eating then use half the amount of water - add a chicken or veg stockcube for every 2-3 sachets and heat. Make in a pan on the hob and cook until as thick as desired. Absolutely gorgeous!

I've just (well yesterday) had the realisation that my next pay packet at the end of this month will only be about half the ideal amount (our timesheets are submitted on the 15th of the month to cover the period between the 16th the previous month and the 14th/15th that month) due to the Christmas break - argh! now ridiculously stressed and panicky as it won't even be as much as the pay I've just had :( Will have to try and scrounge some extra time

  • I really don't want to break my personal challenge of not throwing food away this year - but what on earth can I do with an opened box of chestnuts? I used them with sprouts on Xmas day

  • Happy New Year everybody. Not back at work until next Monday so I have been busy cooking for the freezer using what was left of the ham and turkey, and adding to my turkey repetoire. We had a lovely turkey and broccoli stir fry one night that everyone thought was a great success. Turkey now all gone so the next mission is to use everything up in the fridge and then the freezer.

    Happy New Year everyone :j

I had a small shop delivered yesterday so I shall have to take that off my £100 total for the month as my month goes 25th of the previous month to 25th of the actual month. We did get paid a week early though due to Christmas so this month is extra long.

My total spend came to £38.74 after having a free delivery code and substitutions however £4.97 of this is for my packed lunches which I have a budget of £17 for so I shall minus this.

    Total spent = £33.77/£100.

  • Okay, I'm back, and determined to stick to this - I need to. I have a little debt to pay off and need to make sure we actually save some money this year. Could I put myself down for £100 for this month please, starting today.
