Can I join in please? I used to do this challenge a few years ago, but need to get back on track this year!! For January I am setting it at £295.00 - this is significantly less than my usual spend (£400) - but is all I have available in my budget this month if I'm not going to go overdrawn...so I need to make it work!!
I have ordered a delivery from Mr T to be delivered tomorrow...I find I can keep a much better track on my spending this way. It is estimated to come to around £79.50....I took advantage of a free delivery code;) - this should be enough up until the 9th January......
Off to amend my signature......:D20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

I really only like Lur*pak but it's bloomin' expensive :eek: - An*chor is OK at a push but really only if it's on offer (as it's still expensive)
Any former Lur*pak fans who've converted to something else out there?
I've tried loads of others & they're OK for cooking but just can't stand the taste on my crumpets / in sandwiches etc.
Help!
Aldi do a knock off version of Lurpak and my dad didn't notice the difference when my mum first started buying it. It's in similar packaging and I think it's called something like Norpak.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Morning all! Finally a few days of not buying in food here, however we're nearly out of bread again and I found out yesterday that Mr Shortie's folks are back with us on the 3rd until 7th and I will need bits in for that. Sigh...
I'm refusing to go shopping before the end of December as we've already blown the intra-month budget that we set in order to try and stagger the spending so we don't run out of budget before next pay day. I don't suppose anything will be open on 1st and I'm back to work on 2nd. If Mr Shortie's car isn't back up and running by then, I guess I'll be going to Mr T's after work
I'll make it the weekly shop when I do go though which I think we now have a reduced budget of £30 for? But, we have a good amount of meat in, some pasta, rice, some tinned bits. I *think* we just need milk and bread (both need stocking up in the freezers as well as fresh), fruit and veg. I need to do a stock take very soon so that I can see what we have for meal planning and what we then needApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

I had a small spend of 0.49p yesterday and am off to farm foods today to stock up my freezer (I have vouchers) but I may get the frozen stuff there and the rest from Aldi, I heard mention of 19p parsnips (sorry cant remember who posted it!) I only recently discovered I like them.
I was going to wait till the first of January todo my shopping ( so it would be an exact month) but we have no food, except chocolate , though I think kids would happily live on that.GC September £69.64/£2000 -
