Went to Al.. - stocked up on fresh stuff - Super Six plus some other bits. Popped into As.. for milk on way home - cheaper there. Walking with shopping trolley so no cost/hardship going to two shops.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Bed day today. Kids will fend for themselves with home made veg curry made yesterday. Thank heavens for slow cookers and making more than enough!
The dog food i ordered out of the grocery budget, arrived this morning...collie has had some and devoured it. So pleased she likes it as the initial outlay seems expensive.
Had hoped to be able to get some more fresh veg this weekend but that is now unlikely. We have enough, i just like having MORE than enough!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Ha! You are right, there are bakers in there too.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

so far this month £336, not bad as budget was £350 but will probably have another shop before the end of the month. Hubby and I have decided to try and do most of our shop at B00ths, our local supermarket which although dearer than T$sco and M0rris0ns has better values. It also doesnt have the same choice... so we dont tend to go as mad in there. Ive just checked our spends last year and it averaged £115 a week (yikes!!)Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000

Well we spent £99.07 at Sainsburys today! I know its a lot but we haven't done any shopping for almost 2 weeks and needed to stock up on a lot of things (like laundry stuff, frozen veg etc). Picked up a lot of reduced meat, and probably have enough food again to last a couple of weeks again.
That was the last shop of the month so I can declare that my total was £178.78 / £250! Not bad at all I think for a first try!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Last week I had £32 left for the month, and I spent about £20 of that last week (didn't get a receipt for one of them, so can't remember exact amount), and today I spent £10.18, which should take me to the end of the month, so all in, I'm just about on budget this month! Close enough for me at least...
Keeping a spending diary just doesn't seem to work for me, and I think the only way around it is to take the money out and physically watch it going. I meant to do that this month, but guess it'll need to be next month now!0 -
