I always cook extra veg if I am doing a Sunday dinner, as just love bubble and squeek, if i havent got any meat leftover, i.e. if its just been a chop or steak, then a couple of rashers of bacon or sausage

Bit of exciting news, for me lol. DH came home from work yesterday with some more YS goodies and after I packed it away I told him the freezer was full to the brim. We discussed the possibilities and money saving opportunities of buying a second freezer and DH has said we will get one! I know it's daft getting excited but I am just thinking of the soups I can make, and the batch cooking I can do plus all the YS meat and bread I can buy to save money
We have to wait a while as we have just bought a needed new washing machine but we will be getting one

Updating today with another spend - £33.43 taking my total so far to £130.34 in January. I did get some items I wasn't intending to, as we've found we might need to change washing liquid due to skin sensitivity issues
Oh well, can't put a price on a good night's sleep! All in all though I'm happy with the result of the shop, although everything seems to be a bit more expensive.
I'm off to update my sig. I see the new thread has been posted for February - with having an annual challenge I'll mosey on over there when January's finished.
Lamb Tikka tonight, with jewelled rice. Can't wait!
Have a lovely evening, everyone. Stay safe and warm.

Another good day - had to go to MrA this morning but only spent £6.98 on bread, milk, fruit, veg and some biscuits which we just HAD to have!!
Went to Al*i on the way home to see if they had any cheap peppers (they had none at all) I picked up a couple of things such as a pack of hot cross buns which were 20p cheaper than the ones I had no intention of buying at MrA, and chocolate biscuits which were loads cheaper than the ones I had never even thought about buying but eventually saw sense in my madness and put everything back as I really didnt want or need any of it - I left empty handed!!

Hi everyone
Well have had to buy a couple of things today but am still within my budget for this month £107.78/£150. Will still need to buy some things for the weekend though as I have family coming on Sunday for lunch. Will try to keep in budget though.
Good luck everyone :j:j0 -
Just spent the last of my budget for January - order coming Thursday and I should have enough to last to the end of the month - hopefully0

Battled out into the cold for the first time since Friday to go to Tesco. Stocked up on things I was running low of, like milk.
Pleased to probably be coming in well under budget this month, after a considerable over-spend last month!Because it's fun to have money!
