  • Have been meaning to post on here for a few days, managed to tot up quite a lot of spends over the last few days but hoping that will be in until next week. Not quite sure where I got to so i'll start with Sainblogs £33.71, complete nuisance with their online shopping and had to complain to get a refund, will not be buying online with them again!! Ald's £8.96 and F.Foods £4.25. Doing much better with my budget doing shopping at Aldi and although partners doing GF and Dairy free diet not doing too badly on the spends as freezers pretty full of meat, I knew January was going to be a long month!!

Hi billie, what's sung choi bao? Sounds interesting :)

Basically mince pork and beef cooked off with onions, mushrooms, garlic, ginger, grated carrots, water chestnuts, with soy and oyster sauce added then put into lettuce cups and garnished with either bean sprouts or fried thin noodles. I serve it usually with sweet chilli dipping sauce and some potato wedges.
Two of the grand children like it but they dont have the chilli sauce with it. I used to add chopped chilli to the meat etc but now serve the sauce seperately if they are eating with us.

Is very much like PORK YUK SUNG which is in the index on the first page.

  • Hey y'all, checking in with a spend of £10.76 today :( Needed to swing past Mr T's for something un-grocery related but it happened to be near lunch time so my tummy was rumbling.....grr i should know better. Picked up some bacon, rolls, fresh orange...oh dear :( Also some milk, ketchup and fromage frais for kids. Will add to my signature, gone over my budget for this week but so long as i keep within it for the month i will be happy. Gonna try do a strict meal plan for next week tonight when the boys are in bed, see how i get on. Shouldn't be too hard as i have loosely stuck to one this week, just need to rein myself in more

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping warm, it's getter colder here, with a forecast of snow maybe for the weekend. With that in mind we will finish the last of the HM veggie soup for tea, followed by the HM Chicken Curry & Naan. I have to update my siggy later due to a purchase of the Eas*y* yoghurt sachets which should last around 7 weeks hopefully. Also DH is picking up some bagged herbs for one hungry indoor bunny & the Naan for tea. There is a large tin of Choccie Biscuits left over from Xmas on the worktop teasing me to open it later with a cuppa:rotfl::rotfl:

Small spend today, went the market to get some bargainous toiletries, so spent £3 and got 30 ( mix of shampoo/ conditioner/ shower gel) but 10 are for my aunty ( does she abbreviate to da ? )
So I'll be naughty and only count £2 :p
Need to buy bread tomorrow, and tonight I'm grating cheese (what a rock and roll life I lead :D) otherwise dh will cut huge slices off the wedge for snacks, he costs me a fortune in cheese!
