Pleased to hear Rattie seems a bit better Shirley, I had to resist taking some on tonight. Lady who runs the swimming group, her daughter is moving to NZ for 2 years and has a collection of rescue rats who need a home. Her Mam has them for now but doubtful she can cope with them all :( just hope they find good homes soon.

Nicki, well done, especially with ironing, I hate ironing sooooo much! Being Aunty doesn't wear off, I have a neice and nephew I adore :)
One day I might be more organised...........

    hello all,

haven't been around for a few days, as you can imagine, my life has been taken over by wedding stuff.....

    though i'm still smiling!!!

the flat's a bit of a mess, which i will try and tackle before OH arrives tomorrow eve :D have at least today managed to do the washing from hols, its drying on banisters etc now. on my way to bed via putting yoghurt on. i have a meeting tomorrow, then i';m treating myself to a manicure, and we'll have a chinese takeaway tomorrow night as i can't be ars*d to cook...

will try and get back on track with the list next week. the best thing is that even though its a bit messy on the surface, there is an underlying sense of calm....

Don't know why I'm up so early, I could hear someone snoring at 5.30. There's only me here, but it can't have been me, I'm a laydee you know! Ok it was me.

I swapped spare room for Master bedroom this week so I could get it ready for w/end visitors. I'll strip my bed before I leave for work and see what level I can manage in there when I get back.

    Also need to
Put new curtains up and move old ones to spare room
    More ironing..zzz
    Finish painting bathroom shelf
    Bank
Errr..can't think of anything else but I'll see what the day brings.

Have a lovely day all, flying or chilling. Back at 6.

PS Rach, put us out of our misery/curiosity - Kiwi, Denise and I and others that follow will wonder about your yoghurt 'til you do!!

Too right! I did have a funny comment to add, but realised it was probably a bit too crude for this early in the morning! :D

Well yesterday just didn't happen for me. I ended up spending five hours with my ex boss (we've always been friends, she saw me through my first pregnancy too). We shopped a bit, gossiped a bit and generally just sat and chewed the fat. Not a wing in site though, I didn't fly at all! :o

Still, I did get my shower curtains and felt some more stirring from the baby, so I'm getting very impatient now. I want to meet her already!

My house is lovely and tidy still, but I do need to do a few cleaning jobs. Clean and tidy are not the same thing, for instance, my bathroom is tidy and clutter-free, but DS had a bath last night and left a ring of grime in the tub like an old tea stain. It must be fun being four and trying to grow veg behind your ears. :rotfl:

I have to take Owen for his first eye test at the hospital today, so it's going to be tricky fitting it all in, but I'd be mortified if I went into labour and the midwife saw my mucky bath, so I'll just have to crack on.

Good luck to all those flying today and flipping well done for all of the crossed off tasks. If only we could hook ourselves up to generators, the energy we produce could light Britain!
