Saw this thread mentioned in another one and came to have a look.

Am gobsmacked by your energy!!! Anyways - it prompted me to clean the oven which I hate doing even though it isn't really hard - so thanks ladies :D

I found the flylady a couple of years ago - and whilst I didnt subscribe to her site, I took on board some of the ideas and now have a schedule for the week which is so much easier to stick to than just doing stuff "When I had time"

Glad I dont have children - though do have two large dogs, a cat, and of course the DH which can be just as bad at times...

Keep it up folks - you are doing great!!!

Off for a rest now reminiscing about when I had the energy too !!

    Hi all
Just checking in again. Have spent 20 minutes in my disaster area and filled a black sack with rubbish. It still looks like a disaster area, but at least I know there is one less sack full to deal with than there was before. I can actually see the floor in one place now, so that is an achievement of sorts.

I've also cleaned the downstairs loo (decided on a broad interpretation of bathroom - have decided that I'm a flylady rebel) including floor and window, and also the ensuite (apart from the floor because I ran out of time before the school run).

Have been to the supermarket for some bits and walked to school again this afternoon. Am just spending a bit of time playing with the baby and will finish the ensuite and do the main bathroom later.

Baby sounds like he has a sore throat so perhaps he's given me a cold?

Will come back later to read properly through what we've all been up to (and be inspired). I am really tired today so will try to get to bed earlier tonight!

Evening all. Just got back from the parents. Did car boot sale - £80. Ebayed some more items. Caught up with the grandparents. Done the dutiful stuff and just got home. phew!!!

I now have to pack for exercise this weekend before im out at 8.30pm babysitting for a friend. I thought i would have time to do that tomorrow but just looked in the diary and seen im working 7am - 1pm  and then have to be 45mins away by 3pm

So i have come to the decision i have 0 time available to me!!!

So after ive destroyed my bedroom trying to pack im going to give a quick dust and hoover. when i get up tomorrow i will bung my washing on and then when i come back in my 1.15h at home i will have a shower and clean the bathroom and hang it out to dry to make when im back on sun.

    Must get going

Hugs to all and esp to those that want / need one and hopefully see you on Sunday - if im not dead on my feet!!!

    Axxx

    Evenin' busy bees,
Sounds like everyone's been busy one way or another. Have another hug from me, if you need one of course.
This morning's washing is now on the line, BM on,first cuppa of the evening downed and I'm ready to do the bathroom. Ironing tonight too and then I need to meal plan for the weekend. I'm now having 2 sets of visitors with an overlap on Sunday, I did warn them that it would be month end feeding which they didn't seem to mind ,but I'm literally down to my last couple of pounds cash so I'll have to be inventive!

Right, lets go do it, no doubt there'll be other stuff to do. I'll pop back later to see how the evening shift Flyers are getting along.

Hello everyone. It's the end of my working week :j so am feeling happy about that.

Hugs to you maralum, really pleased that you seem to have cleared the air with your DH.

Lots of people finding advise and inspiration helping them along with the daily lists. That's the great thing about this list, always someone to help and support.

I've done no flying from today's list and I doubt I will now.

Had to go and buy a new phone today after last night's disaster, so did that after collecting DS from school. We then went to Woolies where I bought us some new bedding (all reduced :T ) and then on to the park. A friend from DS's school was there so they played together for ages and had so much fun we stayed longer than planned, didn't get in until late and so only finished eating at 6.30.
DH has just done the washing up and is putting DS is bed.

So as no work tomorrow I think it'll be bathroom, DS room and spare room tomorrow once home from school assembly. Will try and resist switching on computer until the 2 bedrooms are done or I will get sidetracked.;)
Also iron all the things that are now dry from the wash done yesterday.
Write out full list of all things needed to be packed for our hols.
Fill out and return credit card application.
Buy fruit juice and nibbles for my evening out. No wine as it's my turn to drive.
Clean the inside of the car.
Buy grow bag and plant cherry tomato plant and squash.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Hi everyone,

Well, I've done absolutely nothing from the list today. I am still catching up from yesterday which went totally pear shaped. Went to the local post office yesterday afternoon to post off the work, but of course it was Wednesday............post office closed! Even though I am sure somebody else mentioned the same thing in an earlier post, I didn't twig! So I had to go into the town centre, where of course you can't get a parking space, but luckily I have friends that live quite close and parked on their drive, but it was still a marathon to get to the post office. What I did see though, which cheered me up no end, was that we are getting a new rather large Waterstones with it's own Costa coffee bar! Whoo hoo, how much time can I waste in there then  I got back to my friends and after two coffees, she gave me a garden plant for another friend who lives a few miles away. Well of course I couldn't let it die now, could I? :p So had to deliver it pronto to my other friend. After a couple more coffees, I made my way back home. Started the bedroom! :T and have continued it today, a bit here, a bit there. The weather has been beautiful today and I did sit outside in it for a while................ Well I have to do it once while I am on holiday don't I :).

Have been speaking to my sister who recently moved to Spain. The funny things they do over there! Apparently, they all have to go out and wash their own bit of the pavement   (How about that for Flylady). Apparently, it comes from the days of Franco rule when the women were not allowed out at all, not even to the shops and so it was the only way they could meet  They also have a system whereby they park on one side of the road from the 1st to 15th of the month and then the other side for the rest of the month :confused:

Well the dreaded work is approaching again (Sat) and methinks I did not do as much as I had planned, but if I finish the bedroom (top to toe) I will feel better.

Maralum, thinking of you and glad that the air has cleared.
  • Very very tired this evening, when will i learn that i just cannot cope with heels? Anyway i still managed to give toilet a good clean and a quick swipe of sink, bath and mirrors. Level 1 i guess, although not officially as i haven't cleaned the floor!
