    Hello everyone
I'm now exhausted although I've now done everything on my list except the 27 thing fling - may have a 15 minute session in my disaster area (playroom/office) after I've watched ER on the telly.
Will go and have a closer look at tomorrow's tasks later, although I did notice the words 'living room' when scanning through and mine is dreadful at the moment, so probably won't be able to reach level 3 tomorrow!
  • Oh no - was hoping for living room later in the week because that needs a tidy as well and will take longer. Also, I'm up in London tomorrow on a course so early start and I was hoping to meet a friend in the evening as I am up in town anyway - there certainly won't be any flying if I get in late after a couple of glasses of vino! Guess it won't be level 3 tomorrow - more a hurried sort of level 1. Oh well, I started off so well..... :D
Proud to be dealing with my debts

Me too exhausted, I've done everything except the cooker. Almost put the racks and stuff in the bath to soak in my enthusiasm until I thought it through.. Hadn't cooked tea and I didn't fancy sharing the shower in the morning with soupy gloop. With a bit of luck, ok not luck, good planning and an early start they can soak while I'm at work.
Going to unwind with a bit of trashy teev.
Well done all, whatever level you took it to!

Well, i'm feeling pretty pleased with my ability to just get on. It hasn't been easy, particularly managing the buggy and the cat box for the trip to the vets, but people were lovely and held doors and helped. It's been good to keep busy, and DH has just given me a cuddle and kiss as i have done so much and there is very little for him to do tonight. He deserves the chance to chill out to. (although he can still do the remaining washing up. ;)

    Monday 23/4:
    Level One
Clean floors last for me too as i always drop things on the floor so no point doing 1st can't believe i didn't do it. Will do all of downstairs tomorrow.
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces [/STRIKE]
[strike]Wipe window sill, clean any marks off window if required[/strike]
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
    Wipe dining table
[strike]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/strike]
have cleaned my ink/draining board and plastic stuff
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Clean microwave[/STRIKE]
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts[/strike] and the front of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
[STRIKE]Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week [/STRIKE] quick swipe after cooking while it was warm :D
    Declutter mission task
27 fling boogie, grab a bag and clear that clutter! – [strike]have 15 items to list on amazon so will try to do that.[/strike] i've decided i am goin to be ruthless and list some more stuff later like textbooks from uni that i will never use again, and have just kept them to make me look intelligent. i need to stop caring what people think 17 done, but i refuse to put a heavy £30 when new textbook on for £3.

    [strike]Deal with post[/strike]
    [STRIKE]Make baby bottles[/STRIKE]
[strike]Ring vet to get an appointment[/strike] 11:20 - will have to cope with buggy and cat box, but i will drive as close as i can
[strike]Take cat to vet[/strike] £43  to find out he has hopefully a water infection, although if the antibiotics don't clear it up, it could be kidney stones. Hopefully not as he is only young.
Visit parents to see how I can be useful - remember to give them their door key back not needed today so will go tomorrow instead
[STRIKE]Go to shop – get bread, milk, sarnie stuff [/STRIKE]delegated to DH who somehow managed to spend £18
[strike]Cut babies finger and toe nails[/strike]
    [strike]Wash bathmats[/strike]
[strike]salmon out of freezer for tea[/strike]
[strike]also realised i have a birthday card to post that should have gone on Friday, so best do that today.[/strike]
have also just cleaned the bathroom mirrors and plucked my eyebrows while charlie was playing with his rubber duck. 30 mins peace - what bliss!!

    • meat is out for tomorrows dinner (gonna do chilli in SC as i will be out part of the day)
    • baby purees put in fridge to defrost overnight
    • kettle given a good wipe as it was a bit acky
DH can finish off in the kitchen, and i am going to chill out. Best go and have a bath and do my legs as i have got a bridesmaids dress fitting tomorrow. My sister was umming and aahing about cancelling it, but we've said it doesn't clash with hospital visiting times, and my aunty wouldn't want that. She has cancelled the make up trial for Wednesday though.

Anyway, i'm off for a quick read, and to update my master list and work out a master plan for tomorrow.

Hugs to anyone who wants one. lil-me have to say i am one of those who says everything happens for the best. Perhaps it will give you time to do all those little jobs you wanted to. In fact, the only real inconvenience is getting rid of your old fridge, and i think someone will still snap your hand off for it.

    Michelle, x
  • Right that's me done for the night, or atleast done flying anyway. Am currently trying to fix a problem on a website at work which I can reproduce at home but not at work. I think I'm going to book some time off in lieu as I've spent most of the evening working on this.

  • yey, i completed a list for the first time in weeks. think the level system makes the list look less scary!
Mind you, i'll be impressed if it manages to make the living room less scary
Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
  • Right here we go.
Just got back from Bingo. had a really busy day, got up early to make some bread before i had to take my youngest for hospital appointment. My mum arrived at 8am. (she was here to look after my 4y old while i took 2yr old to hospital.)
    I managed:

    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Wipe window sill, clean any marks off window if required
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
    Level Three
    Clean microwave
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky

Didn't do the floors as not enough time this morning and then 2yr old running riot this aft!
Also Made beds, picked up toys from bedroom floor(kids):rotfl: . swept floors down stairs.(all through laminate) And kids helped me dust lounge.
    Phew. no wonder i'm whacked!

Tomorrow Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
    Level 2
    Vacuum floor and sofas
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
    Level 3
    Clean window
    Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Declutter mission task
Sort one cupboard even if it's just for 10 minutes

The sorting coats, bags and shoes is major job! I'll tackle that one If 2yr old goes to sleep in afternoon while 4yr old at nursery!.

You are all so friendly on here. I only discovered this thread on Friday an dyou have all been really welcoming to all the new Flyers. Thanks.
    Nothing to declare ;)

My, haven't you all been busy! It's taken me AGES to catch up with you all this evening!

It's been a busy day here in Mermaid land, although not much accomplished from Lil-me's list. It's been a fix it in the garden kind of day for me. I stripped down the lawnmower this morning and ordered a new part for it (frustrating as it has to be mail ordered at vast expense when I know it's made about 10 mins drive from me, but they won't let you pick it up from where it's made:mad: ). I need to clean the mower up a bit more and oil it when the new part arrives and hopefully I'll have a working mower again. After that I spent a couple of hours bashing up a large lump of concrete buried in the ground and then set my new washing line post into a new lump of concrete, helped by 3yo DD (good for her to see Mum getting stuck into practical things, I reckon).

Went through solicitor's paperwork for house purchase with OH, ready for posting tomorrow.

Made 2 large pans or chicken/quorn curry for tea, so we can have leftovers for tea tomorrow, which saves me cooking.

Tomorrow I hope to do a run to the tip to get rid of the waste concrete and any other junk I can find, teak oil the garden furniture, put up a hanging basket, plant up some tubs and clear up around the greenhouse. Then my back garden should look pretty spiffy.

Still no viewers to look at the house, beginning to wonder whether we've picked the right estate agents

Hope everyone who has had a bad day day today has a much better one tomorrow, and welcome to all the new flyers - too many of you to mention!

    Nighty night,

    Mermaid
