maralum I totally agree with lil_me and pigpen about MW and babysitting.

I can't believe a friend would ask you to look after their kids when you are so far on (or at all for that matter). It's hard enough at this stage just looking after your own. As for the MW/GP I can't believe that they are not better organised. I would be on that phone pronto and not letting them fob you off. It's ridiculous at this stage not to know who or what will happen on D day. I am suprised your MW is not going to deliver you, mine was great said to call her whenever it happened which DH did at 3am, DS was delivered at 6.15am

maralum - i agree with the others, not much of a friend to do that to you, and you def need to get back in touch with the doctor/MW!!!!

lil_me - so sorry about the FF, i know how much you were looking forward to it being delivered - lets hope all will be ok next time.

Well, ive done a bit more - still havnt cleaned the kitchen floor or the hoovering yet tho!!! Will be doing it in a minute, before i nip up for a quick shower/hair wash. The dinner has been eaten and the DW is on, so will empty it and make the pack lunches later. Think ive done everything from todays list after that, so im pleased today.

Hello newbies, hello returners, WOW and BOO as appropriate to everyone's news. (I have a poor memory so don't tend to refer to individual's posts but the sentiments are genuine plus I'd be here all evening.. so please forgive me, it's not flippancy)
Off to assess the bombsite, think it's a level 3 job..

Good luck if you're still at it; if you've finished-think of me. Sob.

lilme - sorry about your FF and thanks for still finding time for updating the thread

maralam - I was hoping for a home birth and my midwives were brilliant - they visited at home from 4 weeks before so that I got to know them and they got to know my home - unfortunately I had to go in and be induced when LO decided not to come - even 2 weeks after his date. Such a shame your midwives aren't like that.

Done up to level 3 - all except cleaning the oven - far too difficult with a six month old to watch - thats my excuse anyway! Not bad for my first day flying - thanks to all for your support.

    That's me done for today.
Evening meal things dealt with and lunches sorted for tomorrow.

Forgot I was cooking a stew for tea and had to do it in the oven rather than the slow cooker, so bottom of oven still not dealt with, but the racks are still nice and shiny from the other week.
Did pull the cooker to one side and hoovered down the gap between it and the kitchen unit and gave the unit side a wash down.

Tried on my clothes for hols and just need a couple of tshirts and then I'll be sorted.
Applied for new credit card on-line, just waiting to hear if accepted or not.

Hugs to all who've had a hard day with various difficult situations.

Once DS is settled I'm going to have a cuppa, eat a flake that's been waiting in the fridge for me all day and chill out with a read of my magazine.

ShirleyPark- keep meaning to say those photos you took were absolutely wonderful.

  • ooooh you've all been so busy and I've been sat at work on my bum !!

I've sorted out the other set of photos, they're here if you want a nose. I've been asked to take photos for someone at work's baby's christening as well, so looks like I'll be getting lots of variety of photos for my portfolio.

I really don't want to clean the kitchen floor !! *stamps feet* I hate that job, most things I don't mind doing, even cleaning the cooker, but I hate doing the floor.

I spent 10 mins trying to hack off lumps of plaster and stuff from the dining room floor from where we'd striped off the wallpaper and knocked the blown plaster back.

Right I am going to go do some housework until Eastenders comes on, better go back and check what is still to do on the list (other than the kitchen floor!!)
