Hi everyone, Joined in today. Was only going to do task 1 as I'm not feeling all that well, but once I started I kept going and did everything except the oven! I think the new thread layout is much better. Thanks Lil'me.0

lil_me - oh no! thats sooooo mean of the delivery men!
verynewmoneysaver welcome and well done on your list.
Ive been to the gym (30 mins in there + 30 in the pool then went and sat for 15mins in the sauna and steam room, i felt soooo good afterwards, one of the joys of working at a leisure centre it costs nearly nothing!) I also went to find some wiper blades but there were none boo hiss.
I think everyone seems to have made fab progress today, looks like lil_me's hard work on the new thread has paid off.
Ive just bunged in a sleeping bag in the wm that i can take to the car boot and im going to see if there are any more nicknacks lying around that can go so they dont need dusting so much!!!!
Also managed to s&s the bathroom.
Now to find some food, just realised i havent eaten all day :rolleyes:0 -
Aimee honestly it seems silly but I was ready to cry, just hope the one on Sunday are better, he wasn't a nice man at all! It's took so much work getting it all sorted then that happened. Saying that might have time to decorate in there before this one arrives.
I've had to post tomorrows list now (check 1st post for the newbies, each day it's edited), earlier than usual as I am at a meeting tonight and have no idea when it'll finish. I know some prefer to have the list the night before. Fingers crossed it's ok with everyone. One day I might be more organised...........

Ok this is completely off topic but im hoping my virtual friends can help!
I am going to our May Ball which has the dress code "Black tie with a touch of the circus" next Tues (surprisingly enough!) (Its a military functions so black tie generally means black tie!)
Can anyone help with a suggestion as to what to wear! I havent got a clue. I have a few black tie dresses but they arent really circus as they are! Its so easy for the men they just have to get one of those spinny bowties. Why is is always so difficult for females?
Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!!!0 -

Thanks Lil'me. Easy day tomorrow. Hubby had a a really good go at the living room today and did loads of decluttering as well as vacuuming under the furniture!!!!!! Woo Hooo!!!!!!!!!!! Just the dailies for me then tomorrow and wiping the light switches, I live in a flat so no banister - I used the hate doing that at our old house!!!! Will probably add an extra one on and wash the skirting boards and doors down.
How's everyone doing today so far? I used to do the american version of Flylady a while back and they only used to cover one or two areas per week, I found that by the time the next month came round, the clutter had built up and everything needed a "big" clean. This way seems to make more sense for me and my brood as everywhere gets covered once a week. Love it!! Thanks lil'me for doing it levels as well. I'm sure there will be some days when things crop up and I won't be able to do the whole lot plus it makes it a lot easier for us new people too, it's doesn't seem so overwhelming. Great Work - thanks.
Cheers
EmMarriages are made in heaven, but then again so is thunder and lightning!!!.....getting divorced lol :j

Trying to "up" my income and rookie oldstyler0 -
Upset and annoyed. The delivery guy said couldn't go in front door as radiator in way so DP took it off, as he was doing that they were trying to get it in back door. They came round the front after giving up, I said DP had removed radiator, he said sorry you'll have to reorder it we have to go now! End result no new fridge freezer, had to cancel the one getting collected by freecycle person or wouldn't have one. Have had to order from somewhere else. Gutted!
Hopefully get delivered from another company on Sunday. Measurements say it'll fit, but will have to wait and see, not getting my hopes up
Well done to everyone you've all been working really hard, it's me who has lost my motivation now as everythings going to be upside down for at least another week
Oh lil_me after all your hard work getting things sorted for today, so sorry you've had that disappointment.
Hope things run much more smoothly with the next delivery....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Aimee what about clown with a black tie ? A Jester, Ring Mistress, or maybe a Music Hall Lady http://www.escapade.co.uk/Stage-Circus-hire.asp as shown there, yikes that would take someone with guts to wear that!
Emmie, I think you should hire him out, I need one like that! Saying that he did have to remove radiator whilst in agony with poorly ankle today and he's on the floor trying to stop the water leak on my Jeep now, he may however need help getting off the floor.
[STRIKE]Level 3 (hopefully)
One load laundry (weathers pants so going on airers)
Cloth wash (also my hot wash to keep it running right)
Clean kitchen doors after putting them back on
Post Ebay stuff
Check email, 10 mins paperwork sorting
Prepare paperwork for committee meeting tonight [/STRIKE]
Rest of dailies
All but dinner to do from dailies and washing up afterwards, DP will bath them and put them to bed as I'll be at meeting, had emptied the fridge etc but have had to refill it, so have just deleted the fridge arriving jobs.
Night time things like sorting uniforms etc I am goin to do now while I am upstairs. One day I might be more organised...........

How about making a mask that you could just hold up to your face that was decorated as a harlequin, or with feathers and all glitzy like the magicians assistant might wear? Then you could still be dressed up all posh and the 'circus part' would be an accessory?

aimeelister, what about one of the shorter black tie dresses accessorised with a sparkly top hat and cane? It's hard to be classy in fancy dress...you could wear a big ruffle round your neck like a circus dog! :rotfl: (I'm joking!)
lil_me, I'm really sorry about your fridge delivery men. They could have tried a bit harder I reckon. Sometimes it takes a woman to work it out though! Fingers croseed for the second attempt. Nice of you to give your old fridge awayEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
