We got our first letter through on the 1st of July, signed and returned it the same day. Today we got a further letter through to say verification checks have been successful and we will be getting a cheque in the next 28 days for £2,688.11, well chuffed with that!

That sounds good as my figures were almost the same as yours mine was 13000 unsecured taken out in 2007 and redeemed in oct 2012 been wanting to find out how much we would get.0 -
Hi all
I am in the same position as many of you, received letter from NRAM around 9th July, completed form and sent it back and am now waiting for a letter letting me know how much I am due back! I called them last week and they confirmed that they have received my form and it is "being processed" and wouldn't give me an amount.
I took my together mortgage back in 2003 and redeemed it in January 2011, to be honest I cant remember how much the loan element was, I think around £18k. I don't think I'll be getting very much back, but every little helps!
One thing they did say on the phone was that I should have my cheque by 29th August so fingers crossed, although finding out an amount would be nice, it's already been 5 weeks since I returned my form.0 -
I am after some advice on this.
I complained in December as i had a redeemed mortgage, they gave me a form number and said they would be in touch in due course. I received a letter on 4th Feb saying they were still looking and it would be between 8-12 weeks before i heard from them again.
I still haven't heard anything, i phoned up three weeks ago and asked, they said they would look into it and get back in touch, but again nothing.
Any ideas what i should do at this point?
Thank you,
Joe0 -
I complained in December as i had a redeemed mortgage...
Was it only a mortgage you had? Pretty sure this is only affecting some types of personal loans. Only time a mortgage comes into it (like mine) is because the mortgage was part of a 'Together' product along with a personal loan. It's the loan part getting interest refunded on it, not the mortgage.0 -

Our cheque arrived last Friday, so it was within a week of the letter that confirmed the total we would be getting.0 -
Hi all
I have spoken to NRAM today, to be honest it really sounded like they just couldn't be bothered to talk to me, not very helpful at all, but after pushing and pushing I was told they have sent out 30,000 letters and didn't expect as many people to reply (why they thought this, when they are giving people money, I do not know) and they admitted there has been a lot of confusion at their end resulting in delays. They are now saying it could be another 5 weeks from today before I hear about how much I am due back, and that they won't be sending any letters out at all until after 31 August. I did try to say that I had been reading a forum where some had their letters already but she just couldn't be bothered with dealing with me I think and I just kept getting the same robotic answer "we apologise it'll be another 5 weeks at least"..... very frustrating! Just a case of waiting for me now I suppose!
Hope you're having better luck with this than me!0 -

Thanks for the update that you have given. It's been 6 weeks on Tuesday since I sent my letter back to them.
It looks like its going to be September before we hear now. I'm just pleased some people have closure on their cases.
I totally agree with your comments above about being frustrated! They send letters out saying one thing and do another
I will keep monitoring this site to see how people on getting on0 -
