  • Just spoken to Nram again and was advised they're currently working at a 6 week turnaround; they received my form back 5 and a half weeks ago but he said nothing has been sent to me yet and it would be the beginning of September (more than 6 weeks, but to be honest I'm tired of arguing with them now!)

    Hi
I had a nram loan from 2006 till I paid it off early in December 2012. but I have received no letters, is this still an on going process??. also noticed in one of the earlier threads it stated accounts with 16 digit accounts do not count, is this true?

    please help

    many thanks Jon
  • I've received my letter this morning saying we are going to be receiving a cheque within 28 days, happy days as it can go straight into the Holiday spending money pot.

Recieved another letter saying that we now need to prove we are who we say we are so i have had to send a copy of our passports to them. Seems a little odd and pointless as they contacted us about this refund and not the other way around, oh well least they've confirmed they owe us something even though i still have no idea how much.

Were the amounts under 25k on each loan?
  • yes both my loans were under £25000. One secured loan started May 2007 for £18000 and the other started June 2008 for £12000 both secured both linked to my together mortgage.

An unsecured NRAM loan with a 16 digit account number is not affected by the issues in this thread and you will not be entitled to any redress.

  • So I'm still waiting, I sent my letter back on 24/7 so am expecting a response any day, my postie thinks in crazy! So I had my mortgage from may 2007 an unsecured amount of 13000 @ 6.29 % in feb 2012 it changed to the standard variable of 4.29% we redeemed on the 5th October 2012 does anyone know if they pay interest on the money the owe? I think I have worked it out to approx £2100 without interest on this, does this seem right?
