My letter confirms that my redeemed loan was regulated by the CCA and I am entitled to redress. There is a form to sign with 2 parts. First part to sign by everyone and the 2nd by people who's name may have changed since having the loan. If names have changed ID needs to be sent to verify the people. In this case checks will be made and a letter will be sent confirming the amount of redress, with a cheque following within 28 days. I take it if no name changes apply a cheque will be sent in 28 days as well.

I've just had the same letter back as well, no mention of how much but my loan was for £24k at 5.99% so hoping for some holiday spending money.:)

Hi yes, i am an ex-customer. My loan was definitely affected by this issue as ive checked my statements, and i still havent received my letter. I made a complaint back in January and have had stalling letter after stalling letter every 8 weeks since.

I managed to find the CEO's email address so penned him an email of how shoddy i thought this refund process had been, and how they shouldnt be treating existing customers more favourably than ex-customers. His PA emailed me back and said my claim would be looked into and they would be in touch, and i still didnt get anything more than another stalling letter, so i emailed her again and she ignored me.

Its a joke of a company, im glad my mortgage isnt with them anymore. Its great news that they made this mistake and we're all getting some money back, i just think once the issue was identified they had an obligation to refund EVERYONE as soon as possible, not prioratise their existing customer. Just my opinion though,

Got my letter today confirming the redress :)

I called them when the news first came out with my new address, had one letter shortly after that, and then didn't hear a thing until today.

Same as the above posts, I've got to return a form confirming my identity.
  • After reading all the posts a few weeks ago I to contacted nram about the claim, I was told I would be lettered the first week in July and still nothing I called back last week and was told there is no time scale but should hopefully hear by the end of July.I then called back today to ask about the discount rate after 7 years and decided to ask again about it to be told an enquiry on my behalf has never been raised! I was so angry!!! What are this company doing!!!
I was told today they would raise the enquiry and I would hear within 10 days, also that I was on a special rate of 0.1% below the base rate so I don't qualify for the 0.25% rate.

I have finally received a letter from NRAM (the first one) and it says I am entitled to redress, to sign and return. No mention of how much redress I'm entitled to, I have a vague idea but I guess now it's just a case of waiting for the cheque.
