    FOS update -

Senior adjudicator called to let me know things were moving fast as there has been so many complaints, some will be grouped together as the outcome will be the same, all complaints with nram will be looked at in their own merit then passed to a team particular to the complaints. He wanted to give me his number as no time for letters etc.
As far as i am aware mine is being looked at individually and if moved to a 'group' he will be in touch!
I'm not too sure if things moving as fast is a good or bad thing!
As soon as I have more info I'll be back!!

Yes complain straight away, email it as it is instant and recorded, that's what I done, you will get an automatic response and it won't take them 8 weeks, I have my final response within 2-3 weeks.
In your letter ask them to show you where within the law of cca 1974 does it state this and you contest it was a loan for home improvement.
Please also send SAR request as you will need to look at your loan agreement, they could possibly be unenforceable!
If you need template letter pm me and I will send or will post on here for everyone to use.

    Email complaint ASAP to customerrelations@n-ram.co.uk
If there is anything else I can do please let me know.

Thank you will do it ASAP

    Without prejudice.

I have been trying to call all day with no avail - I understand your lines are down at present.
    !
Under advice from my lawyer!I would like to have it formally logged that I do not accept redress to my unsecured loan and would like to have the option to receive payment directly. As this loan was unenforceable due to non compliance with CCA the interest payments made are refundable. It is not up to you to decide without my consent.!
I do not want the terms of this loan to be changed what so ever.!

This is what I sent in my email, add your personal detail and account number and add any parts you want.
As I said very simple but it's logged that you have complained.
Next step once you get final response is send to fos, I can pm you my letter to fos when you need it, just let me know.

I contacted NRAM about a month ago to let them know I had a together Mortgage with a unsecured loan for under £25k. The loan part was settled in April 2011 and mortgage settled in September 2011. They took some details and said they would be in touch. Does anybody think a another phonecall will be worthwhile or shall I wait until other ex-customers are contacted before I contact them again?

Keep on at them, if you owed them money they would hunt you down and repossess your house, even after 2 months arrears!!
They owe you money and they are taking their time about it of course!!
Make sure you get interest added on your amount too! They seem to have forgotten about that also.

Best to get official complaint in anyway, they get 8 weeks to respond.

i contacted them in december and have had only two holding letters i am also an ex customer but my patience is finally about to run out, i just do not see why it is taking so long to be honest, i have a reference number off them i am going to complain by email tomorrow then go to fos it's a joke
  • just sent an official complaint via email about how long it's taking them (nearly 6 months) so i guess i will be contacting the fos in 8 weeks lol
  • Is there any ex customers on here who have had any redress yet??

As far as I am aware there is not, and from communications with fos regarding under 25k loans they are still not finished with them, as so many accounts are in dispute. If I know nram they will make you wait a lot longer I'm sorry to say! It's terrible they can get away with all this. Hence the reason we have set up nram action group!
We believe that these mortgages are illegal, we have no actual mortgage contract, only deeds in their name too. That is not a contract, if you ask them for it, they will not have it. Trust me!
The CEO is stalling with us as he cannot provide this.
