Yes, we seem to waiting on the fos dealing with it now.
They have received so many complaints about nram they are being dealt with by a specialist team, who may be looking at a mass complaint.
Another 8 weeks to wait before my assigned adjudicator gets in touch.
In the meantime we are working on the action group website so we can have more sign up and go direct to ukar with proposals of changing terms to fairer terms before we take legal action.
Have you signed up? It's for current and ex nram customers.0 -
Has any existing customers still not heard anything since the last holding letter? When are the 8 weeks up from it? I cant find the letter anywhere!0

This seems to have ground to a halt, might give em another ring about progress for ex nram customers
i'm with you, although they seem to treat their existing customers appallingly so we will be treated even worse than that i fear!

Reply from NRAM today.
It says that no redress is needed on the 2 loans my wife is paying off as they were for home improvements and these are exempt from the CCA!
Sounds like a total fib!
My wife took the loans out to pay off old debts.0 -
That is utter rubbish, someone else on another thread has said this too, I can't believe they will use any excuse. Send complaint to fos right away.
I can't believe they are getting away with treating customers like this.
Apparently the Tories are applying pressure to get nrams debt paid faster, this means going for more repossession and not following pre action protocol. All this will never stand up in court. But they know the average customer won't fight in court. They are nothing but BULLIES!!0 -

Says she can't even remember any paperwork to sign.
Just spoke to fos.told me to complain to nram 1st then they have 8 weeks to reply then phone them back0 -
Yes complain straight away, email it as it is instant and recorded, that's what I done, you will get an automatic response and it won't take them 8 weeks, I have my final response within 2-3 weeks.
In your letter ask them to show you where within the law of cca 1974 does it state this and you contest it was a loan for home improvement.
Please also send SAR request as you will need to look at your loan agreement, they could possibly be unenforceable!
If you need template letter pm me and I will send or will post on here for everyone to use.
Email complaint ASAP to customerrelations@n-ram.co.uk
If there is anything else I can do please let me know.
