I tried that, it didn't work. We worked out with interest rates as they are then he'd save £450 per year, although I forgot that you should multiply that by the number of year, whoops! £450 x 9years is a LOT of money isn't it. £4000+ I work that out to be, so he'll be throwing away £16k instead of just £12k hmmm I shall try to work on him a little bit more I think. I always forget about compounded interest.

Drat and double drat, just ordered some tension curtain rods for the sheer curtains to go back up when I hang the winter ones on the actual curtain rods and I've put the delivery address to Cardiff what a wally. I think it might be time to go to the shop for something yummy to eat.

Did I mention I've stopped using toothpaste? My bleeding gums are now, finally, starting to heal and my teeth feel dentist clean. I have 12 more days of glycerine coating my teeth before my teeth will start to remineralize :D happy days. I shall report back with my findings.

  • so what do you use instead of toothpaste? Just glycerine? I have stopped using toothpaste with fluoride and now use one by weleda it takes a while to get used to the taste though and the texture!

p.s i've put wrong delivery addresses before and just emailed them/rang them if I can find a number :)

I use pure olive oil (castile) soap, it's saponified. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it's actually quite pleasant, none of that soap taste IYKWIM even the two cats had a lick of it the weirdos!

Stupid person on fleabay didn't change the address so it's gone to the wrong address, nothing I can do about it so will just raise a claim with fleabay if they don't resend it. It's their fault as I gave them plenty of notice.

I have been super good today and called D3ll to get my laptop fixed, the power connector is dodgy and doesn't charge the laptop half the time. It's probably because I work from bed, but nevermind they can still fix it :D

I was working until silly o'clock last night so I'm going to do all my timesheets now. I get to put some OT down for the few days I've helped out with this project that's had problems since it's go-live. I also ended up at the out-of-hours last night for a UTI :( OH wouldn't let me go all hollistic on it because he was worried about my kidneys and how it might affect the baby. Probably a good thing we went though as I was doing funny dances all around the house.

Pet food people have sent me some samples of biscuits, going to give my two a few days to recover from the runs and then try them on the samples to see if it still affects them badly. It's a different batch number so hoping they'll be ok. They didn't pester for food this morning for once, although Leo is starting to get fat so we will just give them a small amount of biccies overnight to keep them satisfied until we wake up. Chloe will yowl and claw at the bedroom door otherwise as she gets completely starving.

No real money update today, waiting for expenses to be paid and statements to come in :)

  • Hi kerri

sorry about the UTI..not fun at all.

Not using toothpaste sounds intriguing..and I was thinking of swopping everything over to castile soap anyway. Where do you bulk buy? or do you use Dr B8nners?

Taking a deep breath before I do my Friday scores on doors. Been a carp month for OPs so far.. glad your situation looks brighter! :)

    Have a good weekend x

Hi Brizzle nice to hear from you, you've had a good week though as you've possibly found yourself a lodger :) that means things will start to be brighter. Let me know if you ever have any freetime in your hectic schedule for a cup of tea :)

My soap cost me £1.40 from the health shop in Staple Hill, I've never bought it before so no idea what price I should have paid. Although just looked on t'interweb and looks like I paid the average price. I think it should last me a good while too :)

Meter readings submitted for new supplier :) I feel like I'm getting quite a bit done today.

Aaaw. Lovely picture. I almost got broody again for a moment..but don't worry it passed!!:rotfl: my 2 amazing girls are enough..couldn't deal with a family of 5! :)

You are definitely on for a cuppa. Work has slowed up as of this week so I will look at the diary and PM you. Any particular days which are better than others?

I will look into the soap. Thanks for the info. And yes am getting pretty keen on the idea of a lodger, just need to ensure we get someone we can live with and vice versa!

Well I'm off to the parents shortly, petrol being paid for by expenses ;) got to cheer my sister up a bit, her OH walked out in her and the kids yesterday. It's the 3rd family he's done it to now, she thought she was different :( feel bad for her two little boys.

Anyway, Brizzle any day apart from Wednesday evening (pregnancy yoga) and Thursday's (as I'm in Cardiff) would be lovely :)

I dreamt the baby came early last night, it all happened in an hour and I was sent home really quickly. I kept the baby in the cup holder of the car and my sister burnt a Sunday roast....what the??? I think baby was probably really active last night or something.

So pleased I've been flyladying, OH just did his weekend thing of rushing round like a blue bottomed fly and where he'd normally start rushing me and stressing me out, I just sat here in bed and sniggered quietly to myself :)

Right best get ready to hit the road jack, have fab weekends if I don't speak to you beforehand xx
