Sorry, when I said on time I meant that the letters are a few days late – Im out the house 12 hours a day so it doesn’t bother me the actual hour he drops by. its almost as if he can be bothered that day to walk down my path with 1 letter so will drop it in next time I have more post.
I have already opted out of the leaflets and put a sign saying ‘addressed mail only – no leaflets, menus or junk mail’ but he chooses to ignore it.
Fairy nuff on the late mail. I doubt they are doing that though. It would be a clear out of jobs at management level if they are caught doing that. Check the delivery office, they often don't get word that you've opted out. It's a crazy system. I've opted out twice and they've still not received word that I have..... Bonkers! Even with the signage on the door, unless they receive word at the delivery office, the postie still has to post the blaaady leaflets.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Drinking wine while doing your hair? Oh my gosh, I've come over all faint :rotfl:
Haha! She sometimes does a better job after a glass or 2 of wine!!! To be fair to her, she always does a fab job of my hair and she is the only hairdresser I have trusted to touch my hair more than once - Before her I have actually stepped out of hair salons in tears!!
Luckily, she works from home so I also get to spend time reading/playing with her kids while I wait for my colour to take!0 -
I was going to tip my hairdresser this year but if I'm honest I can't really afford it- already spend more than I'd like and I tip her a couple of quid each time I go anyway.
I also considered getting the whole team a tin of sweets or something but they probably already get a few.0 -
The postie and the bin men will definitely get a tin of biscuits. Re leaflets it's part of the posties job to deliver them, due to email etc the amount of post has gone down enormously and it's a £ generator to keep the service running. I just put it in the recycling bin, it's no problem, that way the postie keeps his job and the post keeps being delivered.
The bin men are so helpful, always take extra if I ask them and help with the bin and my gate which is a devil to open!0 -
Not so much a tip, but I always give the pharmacist and his staff a box of chocolates, as I find they can be more helpful than the doctors surgery!! Another person I give chocolates to is the lollypop ladies that do my area. They are out in all weathers and take their life in their hands some day with some of the muppets on the roads. And when my children are old enough to walk to school themselves, they will be my spies!!!!0

I tip my hairdresser each time so dont do extra at xmas, dont do the postie (often gives me other peoples mail) nor the bin men (take stuff out if they dont deem it suitable) and dont have a window cleaner or gardner.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0

I havent tipped the binmen since wheelie bins were delivered and they now do half a job, the postman gets sod all as he only brings me bills and cant be bothered delivering a parcel, but seems quite keen on delivering you werent n cards.
