Good question! I usually tip our window cleaners and dustbin men, the postman and the newspaper boy. Not always with money but a little present of chcocolates or biscuits.

However, the newspaper boy is now a man who comes round in a car, somehow l resent tipping him because he's not a youngster cycling around. :o

    Happy moneysaving all.

My parents used to tip people at christmas, I certainly haven't carried the tradition on though...

Window cleaner - I do the windows myself.
    Cleaner - Don't have one.
Gardener - We do it all.
    Binmen - Never see them.
Milkman - We collect from the supermarket rather than have it delivered.
Newspapers - I read them online.

The only person that actually does anything for us (that I see) during the year is the postie, and they usually don't roll up till at least the middle of the day at the earliest, and even then is usually in a mood judging by how miserable he looks. Not sure he'll be getting one if he doesn't make the effort to cheer up and deliver the post in the morning, preferably before I go to work like it always used to be.

Maybe he has another round, or your house is towards the end of it?

The only tip I have for my post woman is give me my own flippin' post and not my neighbours, we live in a cul-de-sac, the numbers go 1,2,3,4 etc how difficult can it be?!

I used to tip the milkman but we don't use him anymore. I am considering tipping the bin men this year as they are fab and always take any extra bags we have unlike the old ones who used to miss our bin nearly every week. I heard some people buy a box of beer for their bin men so may do that.
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j
  • I tip the dustbin men (often works as a bonus they will happily take extras during the year)

    I tip the postman.

I give my cleaner a little gift. The last two years I have given a photo frame, need to be inspired this year for something different

I don't have a gardener or milkman, and my window cleaner is just a couple of times a year, so I only have three to buy for.

    No..I only care about myself..
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

If you're planning on tipping to bin men, don't leave a box of beer, out with the rubbish. Or ontop of the bin.

    Could go awfully wrong.

Thinking to give something to the postie(s), some biccies or something, as they do well to deliver all the parcels my mum sends to DS!
