Anyone whether it is possible to open more than one BOS Vantage, and if so, how to do it?
I have opened one ok so far and would like a couple more (to keep my Lloyds Vantages company).

According to BoS web site you can have more than one. Why didn't I think of this. I have an AA account maturing in January with no where to put the money ( half decent that is). I could open a third TSB and a BoS (hopefully) and problem solved for a while.0

I have three - had two until the other night when I rang to open a Regular Saver and was advised that I could have three. Max for the higher interest is £5,000.00.0 -
So you just apply again on the website, as opposed to when you are logged into internet banking? The latter seems to only allow me to apply for more Halifax Reward accounts (which I don't even have to try since I have got two of these already)0

Easily resolved - login through www.bankofscotland.co.uk
Same login details as for Halifax. Works for me, I assume it would work for you too.0 -

Hi innovate
Quick question - were you completely honest about the number of 'other' current accounts you have, and total savings?
I'm thinking if I admit to 4 other current accounts (+ 2 joint with husband) they might just turn me down as it will be obvious I'm looking at their Vantage accounts as savings vehicles0 -

DOH! Yes of course, I could try that! Don't know what made me think I can only log in via Halifax.
I found the application for a 2nd account on bankofscotland.co.uk but there was "a technical" error so I had to ring them. Lovely lady opened 2nd Vantage for me there and then. Apparently they can only process one application a day (and they do a full credit search even if you don't apply for an overdraft) but they offered to call me back tomorrow to open number 3. Loving it :cool:0 -

Well, they never asked me to list all my current accounts, just whether I have accounts elsewhere, and never asked for total savings. I said I had some accounts with Lloyds (they can probably see those, anyway).
They asked whether I'd want to switch from another bank, I said no thanks. They asked what I want the 3 Vantage accounts for, I said to distribute my money, and that I liked the Vantage accounts particularly because they pay interest. All 100% true.
I'd just give it a try, badger - worst thing that can happen is that they turn you down but I reckon you are 99+% certain to get accepted0 -
While not a BoS Vantage, I have just applied on line to open a third TSB account, did it while logged on to TSB account so no information required from me. They state that I will hear from them in 3 days via post, though I thought with already being with them, it would have been done on line. I will give it a few days then will try to open BoS accounts. I have accounts maturing in January, February and April, hopefully by April some 'decent' ISAs may be around.0

Hmmmm
Thanks for that info. Did you apply online? My application, which I went ahead with before your reply (patience not being one of my many virtues) asked how many current accounts I have, what this account will be used for, and and my total savings
My thinking was that if they know that:
I want 3 accounts with them (only 1 applied for so far)
I already have multiple current accounts
I have squillions of savings
then they won't really want me as a customer! So... I have been somewhat economical with the truth
I got the standard 'we've received your application and we'll be in touch' reply so I'll keep everything crossed and update here.0 -
I opened one on Monday evening, it appeared on my internet banking screen today.
Presumably they send stuff in the post? Does it need a certain minimum deposit to activate it?
I am preparing to switch from Lloyds if necessary, as our branch is being sold.0
