    Miliband:the great debater?

    Thought I'd heard it all...

Cameron would not remember his name if his Spin Doctors did not write it onto his notes. When he speaks without prepared notes he make no sense at all and his total arrogance shines through. His Bullington experiences I guess.
  • Do you think Cameron gave away his true feelings when he actually said about raising more money for the rich in PMQs today? Also, he kept spreading his hand when talking about the figures ,supposedly a defensive subconcsious mechanism meaning ' leave me alone.' Do you think people give themselves away through body language when they speak, especially when saying one thing but meaning another. David cameron seems more prone to this than the others, also nervous self-comforting actions like drinking from a water glass (do you remeber he did that often in the TV Debate?)

A good comparison is between a confident Barack Obama who delivers his speeches to the people, captivates them, gains their full attention, now compare that to David Cameron, its like night and day.

Watching Obama at the last Summit delivering a speech without notes then being followed by Cameron with a swath of notes and looking totally uncomfortable. No wonder he won a second term in office. Obama that is.

You don't think the Government would interfere with the ONS or the OBR, for that matter, do you? Why would they want to do that?;)

  • You re spot on! And you ll soon find out - the CPPR report is coming out predicting a big jump in unemployment and youth unemployment - one of the worst things is that productivity is falling at a worrying level too. 200 000 more will be out of work and 85 000 more jobless youth

  • At the CameRonseal presser for the rehash (whoops sorry, meant relaunch) of the coalition tonight, Dave bottled the question about whether he'd participate in the TV election debate in it 's latest form.... probs worried as he can't 'own the stage' and speak off the cuff from the heart like Ed Miliband can - dont know about Clegg?

Problem is, those negotiations about coverage/fees for the debate need to be finalised about now? What's going on?

Why do they need to finalise now?

Would have thought that they all have other problems to deal with first. Like having defendable policies in the first place.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
  • Yes , youd think so wouldnt you.... but I wouldnt be surprised if its already all been finalised! Theswe Media events (like sports) are highly covweted and go through things like auctions etc, airtime costs, discussions that can take years! Hence , the done deal well in advance!
