Repaired a pair of DD2 jeans where she had put a rip in them, then DD3 came home with ripped seam in her school trousers  - but all fixed now;)
27 fling boogie at stupid o'clock
dump run with a broken washing basket, some more glass jars and other non doorstep recyclables :j - I remembered to do it on a day when dump was open :D
emptied and cleaned filter on hoover
emptied wheelbarrow that had filled up with rainwater
sort and folded 2 of 3 baskets of clean washing - one basket sorted to iron

well DS is point blank refusing his nap - and I have been fighting a temperature all day -

on the upside DD3 has come in and done 10 minutes in her room- pulled out washing from under bed, and hoovered underneath and across her floor - I had already gone in this morning to make bed, and perform another 27fling boogie across the whole of upstairs - including putting her makeup and straightners away from where she got ready for school, so she couldn't grumble too much.

might try and make a headstart for tomorrow if I perk up - I have just one more dose of paracetamol I can take before morning :eek::eek: so I am hanging on as long as I can - as I have to take DD2 to Uni open day for one of her 3 preferred choices - I doubt I will have any energy or inclination to do diddly squat tomorrow

right, here with a cuppa :j and ready to lurk - will catch up again later

Dusty count me in for the ironing, I don't usually even try but I will this year.

    Natty, thanks for the list

Plodding through but the paid thing gets in the way as always, 12 sleeps till the house needs to be clean. Most of the LR is in the Snug still :o

Just home from work and had tea, but not done the dishes yet. Once I have done them I will tackle the sink and then the rest of the kitchen. Need to make a start on icing my Christmas cake so may make the icing first, then I won't be faced with an icing explosion all over a lovely clean kitchen.

Thanks for the list Natty I'm in.

Been at my voluntary job so not a lot done. Have shoved some chicken and stuff in the slow cooker for tea tomorrow. Sides wiped down in kitchen.

Will get some more stuff wrapped and cards wrote tonight.

Hugs spoons and sticks where needed.
  • Hi there. Thank you, Natty, for the lists, and Dusty for last week. At last OH is starting to get better, but he has been ill right after my bad cold, I'm still walking next door's dogs and shopping for sick friend, so I'm afraid flying has taken a back seat!

Done just about enough to stop this place being a tip, and the basics have been done, but I just want to get tidy now! Spent 4 hours yesterday wrapping presents and writing cards, also did two slow cooker meals, so we have good food this week, lean meat and veg!

I want to wrap more tomorrow and also post cards. Also having Xmas lunch with two friends so am looking forward to that!

Good health vibes to all that need them and happy birthday to all those celebrating! And I've just read of mummyyof5's DS who's been poorly, and picked to be Joseph! Bless!!

Hi to any newcomers and this flying does work! Love to all, R x

Evening all, am sitting here watching Masterchef after being run ragged at my friends house :D I came home thinking DH would still be off shopping for the day - he was sitting watching the t.v. when I walked through the door :( Oh well never mind, I got him to make me a cuppa and I sat down and vegged out. Unfortunately I didnt' quite make it back up off the sofa..lol

Popped into A$da on the way home earlier, couldn't believe they had a sale on their Christmas things already!!! Cards reduced down to £1.. What the heck is happening, aren't people buying or something?

Think I am going to have to bandage my hand back up for a while. I am suffering with one of the fingers as it keeps getting bent back for some reason. Plus my thumb and the area around it feel very sore and sprained still. :( Somehow I think it didn't heal properly, so back to the bandage for a couple more weeks I think. I should be able to take it off by Christmas if I'm good and don't be inpatient like I was originally :(
