Oh wow! Do you fancy a trip to Florida?! :D

Urgh, sorry about the rubbish work stuff. :( Is there anything else you think you'd like to do from home to earn some extra money to kind of make up for the lost wages if you did quit the job?

Guess who's going to Florida on her honeymoon! :p Not sure I can convince OH on Barbie World but mighty tempted to give it a go!

Cinny that is rubbish about your job - why were you doing the appraisal, surely it should be her line manager? Does she report to you (I seem to remember you trained her)? Regardless, to make you do something you aren't comfortable doing and then undermine you is shoddy. I must admit I have lost track a little, was there an option of increasing your hours/pay in job 1 a while ago? Or could you manage to stick it out until the debt is gone? Try not to let it stress you out though although I know its easier said than done. When my old job used to get me down I used to give myself a good talking to - remember that there are a lot of people who think you're pretty darn fabulous (and we know everything so we must be right).

Too right! :D I wanted to take you home with me and I'm very difficult to please so that says something! ;)

How long are you in Florida Shrimpy? Where are you going/what are you doing? Can I come?!?! :D

I did get more hours and a raise, so I'm on £200 a week from the family job (give or take the odd hour) All in, I only earn £55 a week from my second job, but that doubles our monthly debt payments. And the thought of being debt free by the end of the year is tasty!

The two people I'm close to at work (one being the one I want to set Tete up with :D) feel the same about the people higher up, OH says we should gang up and over throw them. I just imagine it being like that scene from Les Mis, where we're all riled up and determined - then cut scene and we're unemployed. She doesn't report to me though, we're on the same level. I've just been here longer so know the ropes! (apparently)

There's one in Berlin, I think! That's where the next meet should be. Or Shrimpy could take us :A

I meant to bring adoption papers so you and your OH could look after me. Let me watch wrestling, give me cake and take me to Disneyland

Eeeee we definitely need a trip to Berlin! :D

Work-wise, why not say to yourself 'Right, I'll stick it out until the debt is paid then they can stick their job where the sun doesn't shine!' :p At least if things don't get better you know there's a time limit on it, and if they do improve then you can be happy knowing that it's no longer really necessary for you to stay there and you're doing it because you're happy, not because you *have* to IYKWIM. Just don't make it so that you're reliant on the wage once you're DF. :)

LOL! Not sure you'd want my cake though... but we'll provide you with as much fruity cider as you'd like! :)

We're flying to Miami, stopping overnight then flying to Nashville, then driving down from there through Nashville, Atlanta and Jacksonville back to Miami. We're away for two weeks so will probably spend roughly a week driving down then a week in Miami relaxing. I had a quick look at where Barbie world is and it looks fairly close to Miami :D and sure you can come, you can just stay on after the wedding! :D

I love the fact you and I both have the March challenge still in our sigs :o

Well if Birdie's coming, I'm coming. I mean - wouldn't want her to feel like a third wheel. Purely selfless reasons! Your trip sounds amazing, Shrimpy. I've got it in my head your OH is American?!

Going to be a quiet day at work today, and it's treat day Fridaaay! Started a tradition of bringing sweets in on a Friday (although, I bought some of that jelly bean chocolate in yesterday.. and donuts on Wednesday *ahem*) and today there's haribo and variety bags of sweets!! Off to my Grandparents after work for dinner, as my great Aunts are up, and OH is doing the food shopping so it's going to be a very fat kind of day. And I'm so excited!

Waved our old sofas goodbye at 6:15am :( They're only going to live at my Mums, but it was sad to see them go! I'm basically out of the house until 5pm so I'm hoping OH will have sorted everything by then on his lonesome. He's cleaning the carpet at the moment and I keep on getting "LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE!" pictures :p

Was talking to Tete's future Husband yesterday, about the other people making the atmosphere at work a little edgy, and he said "Well, we get along so if we stick together we'll be fine." So that's given me a little comfort! In all fairness, the comments aren't aimed at me. From what I've heard my bosses don't have a bad word to say about me, but blitchy-gossipy people are kind of toxic, even when you're not in the firing line it effects you. I always stand up for my co-workers so at least I know I'm not participating. Just want to get this debt paid off!

ETA: It's only €15 to get into Barbieland! It'd be stupid not to go! ETATA: No surprise though, FEMEN have protested at the opening ;)

Jebus, I must be stupid/naive but I grew up surrounded my Barbies and never wanted to actually *look* like one. Just let little girls be little girls without scaring them by protesting something they don't understand and burning toys on a bleeding crucifix! I want to go and protest against the protesters! :p Lets not just talk the talk... we need to walk the (pink carpeted) walk and go! :D How does one get to Berlin for not a lot of money?! :o

Happy Fat-and-New-Sofas-Friday! :) My OH loves a bit of carpet cleaning too, you don't realise that you've been living in utter filth until you start to clean, eh?! :p

Glad you feel like you've got a ally at work, and good on you for keeping out of the nastiness. Just keep your head down and look forward to being DF! :)

Shrimpy, your honeymoon is totally my cup of tea! Sounds amazing! Are you going to the Grand Ole Opry?! :D Hope you get all Cowboy-booted-and-hatted up too (do it for me! :D). I want to see that part of America so much but OH isn't interested at all. :(
