Okay! So I'm a little bored at work and completely unmotivated to do work so here are my April targets - super early!

    Aims for April 2013:

Aim 1) Save £600 in the EOW account (will mean we've saved the full 2k, although the water bill will mean we only see it as £1900!)
Aim 2) Pay £100 off the smallest loan.
Aim 3) Start saving towards paying the rest of the smallest loan off in one lump sum.

Decided I'm going to work through each aim 1 by 1, rather than all at once. Baby steps, right?

I think I'll get paid around £1000 through next month after tax. With my personal bills being £90, house bills being £200, I'm hoping with a grocery challenge budget of £160 for the month we'll be able to do it! Also if I can work my budgets as best as possible on my weekly wage it'll mean my monthly wage is perfect for one big lump sum on the target!

I'm just really hoping the weather gets sunnier, and just generally nicer in April as it seems so much easier to scrimp when you at least have the weather on your side!

Hey Cinny, I don't post often but I'm an avid reader. Just wanted to wish you Happy Birthday. Love the duvet cover! I too would be super excited about sleeping under it x

I know I messaged you but happy birthday for yesterday!! Your OH is a sweetheart and that duvet is so awesome!

I can't wait to buy bedding! Your downstairs duvet inspired me to plan a duvet day with OH soon - I'm so excited! You need cold weather to have a proper duvet day and it sounds so cosy when you say about you and your OH all cosied up of an evening :D

Your savings plans sound really good, all going in the right direction :) I think it's good focusing on each aim at a time, it's a great incentive ticking each one off. I'm sure you'll kick !!! in April :)

Duvet days are the best! Me, OH and my Sister actually all ended snuggled up under the duvet watching Geordie Shore last night. My Sister kept saying "This is the best idea ever!" My phone's internet is being so temperamental at the moment, I didn't ignore your last message I just can't reply :o The new duvet is a beast though. I felt like I was in a hotel!

and thanks Missy & Star! I'm still full of cake *hic*

Went to Morrisons yesterday, so the freezer, fridge and cupboard are filled back up for a grand total of £40.03  I'm going to miss those little £5 vouchers, it was my last! My Mum had a real panic though, bless her heart, went to use her card - completely forgot it expired last month so needed to use her new one which was, of course, at home. So she's now in my debt by £38 ;) How the tables have turned! But you know how flustered you get with things like that, I've never seen her so red.

Spoken to work again about my wages and they've confirmed I'll "100%" get paid on Friday. So that will be nice, but I counted those wages in my April Aims so I might have to readjust. We'll see!

Too busy procrastinating, and my bank is a little all over at the moment with various drips and drabs in it - with a late night last night I don't have the mental capacity to organise it. I know there's enough in there, so I might be a case of sitting down with a cuppa later on tomorrow to sort it out - or Friday evening once I've been paid. That's not a good attitude, is it?

Oh, picked up my cutlery yesterday and I got ID'd! It was the point where he said "We only sell cutlery to people 18 and over" and I just went "Oh, okay then".. followed by an awkward silence before he said "So erm.. could I see some ID, please?" I'm 22 for crying out loud, I know I look young but I'd hope I looked respectable enough to not go on a killing spree with my new £4.99 cutlery set (50% of which were bloody spoons)

Another hour at work then I'm free as a bird until 1pm tomorrow :T Going to take Ryder on a killer walk, have some soup and crackers to warm up, get some cleaning done and crack on with figuring out what to do with tea. I have my new stock pot so I'm determined to use that! It's so pretty :blushing: Have my lush bath to look forward to too, a nice relaxed afternoon!

That made me laugh too, although I think I'd rather be murdered with a knife than a spoon somehow :undecided

I'm getting to the age where I take being IDed as a huge compliment :o Never for booze though, it's always when I'm putting Grandma's lottery on - you know, what you have to be 16 to do *rolly eyes*

We need to start a campaign to get the rolly eye smiley back - it was my favourite and most used one - since people are generally morons! :D

    :rotfl:

Isn't that why they got rid of it? Posters were using it to mock each other though rather than the general public.
