Happy Friday!
Guess who's got two thumbs, and was underpaid this morning..? *this girl*
Also, our sofa loan payment went out yesterday. Not cool, not agreed and completely not the plan! We were assured when we bought the sofa that no payments would be taken until a month after we had the sofa delivered. I guess it's a lesson to be learnt for buying things on credit even when you full intend to have the money together to pay the line off once you get the item. OH is calling the sofa people today to complain, but regardless I've knocked the payment off the debt. MM stays the same, as I've had to take it out of that account
Still, even with my teeny wage and no second income I've paid the rent, put £15 towards my monthly bills and £21 into the MM challenge. My Uncles assured me I'll get paid the difference (around the £50 mark) next week, and I should get paid from Job No2 on Thursday too so I'll be able to correct all of todays wrongs then! It's left £50 in my bank, so once OH's been paid and I know I won't have to bail him out for any reason I'll be paying £30 off the small loan
Had one of the clients who comes to the classes on my late shift gift me a huge stack of Total Tattoo magazines. He's an older chap, and I was commenting on his tattoos on Monday (throw a suit on him and he looks like a respectable Grandad, put him in a tshirt and he's totally badass!) and how I'm struggling to find what I want for my sleeve design. So he said he thought they might be inspiration, and he'll bring me some more in next week. How nice is that?!And it's working, have a couple ideas for around my cupcake already. However, it's going to be a £300 gift to myself so it'll be on the back burner for another year at least
Snowing horribly here, a woman has just walked past with a husky and even he looked unimpressed :P only managed a 20 minute walk with Ryder this morning as it was just so cold and my face wanted to close in on itself!
Working until 12:30, then I'm off for dinner with my Grandparents before I do some cleaning for them. A little bit nervous actually, my Grandad's Brother died this week, and apparently he's got a very short fuse at the moment. Not for a matter of feeling a loss, they weren't talking after a family feud and I think it's just brought old feelings back as his will is coming to light.. ugh. Poor Gramps
So for today:
Spend:
Need to put some petrol into Little Car. He's verging on empty as I kept thinking "oh, I'll put some in tomorrow!"
Save:
Saved £21 for MM challenge (rounding my bank down)
Saved £15 towards personal bills
Will save whatever money I get today towards next weeks food shopping
Give:
A little bit of inspiration - minus the biblical talk for those with delicate stomachs like mineBut I do like the quote "Owe no man anything, but to love one another"

How annoying about the sofa people! Hope you manage to get through to them and sort it out! Get Birdie to write a strongly worded letter for you! I hear she's an expert hehe!0

OH has spoken to the sofa people who say it's out of their hands as it's with the loan company now. Hmgpfh! Like I said, it's a lesson learnt. It just means we need to save another £250 for OH's wage flip. £125 to cover what we took out for this payment, £125 to cover him missing a payday. Off to lick my wounds and be self pity central! I don't know if it's worth chasing the loan people up, I think I might need Birdie's expertise to write a letter for us though. They flucked up!
Also changed my workdays yet again. I'll be working 25 hours over 5 days for the family, so I've had to cut my hours back at Job No 2 where I won't be working the Thursday evening shift. Yet again, less work but more pennies. Will mean I'm only working 1 evening too, which is nice
Want to get my bosses at Job No 2 something though, just to show I am grateful for the hours and confidence they've given me and I'm not just jumping ship for family. They are understanding, and commented on the fact I "seem tired" which is true, I just thought I'd hidden it well.. with concealerI just don't know what to get them?! Ideas on a postcard!

Hmmm, you could make them some personalised mugs with funny drawings and quotes on? Cool, cheap and unique! If they're awesome, get these prints for the office!
Or failing that, booze!
How annoying about the sofa money coming out already! Have you got anything in writing that confirms what you were told?
Hope your Grandad is OK today.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Bookmarked! But for myself :A They'll look awesome in our living room when we get our new sofa.
Booze is probably the best way forward! Will nip to Asda on my way home (back in the office, hoping I don't have to come back in on Sunday.. blergh!)
My Grandad was fineHe briefly mentioned his Brother but I just congratulated him on outliving the idiot
A bit rude, but his Brother was a jerk.
And I don't think we do. Just taking it on the chin as a lesson learnt and will push on CSL for lying to us.
Off home now, back to work at 7:30 tomorrow until 2pm. Looking forward to my afternoon of retail therapy!!0 -
Cinny just FYI, my dad and I print mugs as part of the design business we have going, if it was something you'd want to consider I can edit and adjust and basically maximise any drawing of yours or image or anything onto a mug, its usually less than £4 a mug plus postage although it goes up a bit if you only want to order one or two as most of the time is taken up in the digital manipulation witchcraft, between mug and ink it costs us about £2.10 to produce each one. All our mugs are sublimation printed for best quality and dishwasher safe without fade for 2000+ uses (we don't test each mug 2000 times, that would be madness, but you know).Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

FYI Cinny you just gave me a great idea, can you pm me your home address please? I think I need to be sending you a parcel for your birthday (granted it'll probably be the end of the week), as a small thank you for the idea and also those gorgeous bits you sent Grace.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Awh! You don't have to but I won't say no to a birthday present!did the top fit Grace, btw? Thought it might be a long shot, I forgot how old she is - time is going so quickly!
Will keep you in mind for the future, Dinah. I went for some Leffe in the end, classyThe family company are actually wanting to get some promotional things together so I'll put the mug idea to my Dad and Uncle.
So much snow here it's insane, had to walk to work and the plans for some retail therapy later are well and truly off the cards - hopefully it's nicer tomorrowbut I cleared some of the path at work and it's already covered with a fresh thin layer. Unimpressed, I remember my 21st and it was a gorgeous day. Nothing like this!

We do keyrings, magnets, fabric prints etc too, so if you want to chat about it I can drop you my dads email or phone number. I'm working on building his site at the moment.
Sadly no, she has such chunky arms!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

She's a little bruiser getting! That would be great though, I mentioned it to my Brother and he sempt keen on the idea, just got to get it past the big man. Although after April 6th I'll be director and can buy all the mugs I jolly well please
Ended up braving the weather and went shopping. Tried to spend wisely, got some make up bits I needed (primer, cream blusher etc!) as well as hair dye and lip balm as this weather is sending them bananas. A couple home bits, like a "bake" teatowel holder, some jumpers (lots of pretty chunky knits for £5, end of season sale but it's clearly still Winter!) and some new pumps and scarves for work. I did get a gorgeous green, candy stripe summer dress but majorly underestimated the boobage area so I need to take that back, possibly planned a post payday shopping trip again next weekend *ahem* but will be on my best behaviour as I have some big plans for April!
A little upset though, couldn't find my argos voucher anywhere! Hopefully I'll have it by next weekend so I can get our slug life revamped with a downstairs duvet. Once you've frozen yourelf half to death playing outside with a crazed puppy there's not much else to do bar snuggle up on the sofa and watch movies. Last night was American Psycho with caramel popcorn, tonight's Ted (borrowed from my Brother's friend!) with hot chocolate.
No plans at all for tomorrow. Other than walking the beast, I'm just going to focus on getting the laundry done and all my clothes ready for work again! Now I have posh new scarves I'm going to try my luck at getting away with the classic jeans, tank and cardie combo on Monday. If the weather's still like this there's no way I'm trekking about in office dresses!0
