I love that cardigan Dinah, its so cute! I was planning on leaving work early today for a little shopping spree but due to my tyre blowing out this morning I was late in and will have to shell out for a new one. Boo to cars. Now I need to get over the embarrassment of being stranded in a pub car park at 8.30 this morning on the verge of tears, only to be told that I have a jack etc in the boot of my car next to my spare by the good samaritan who changed it in 5 minutes flat and sent me on my way!
Really bizarre as not only did I dream last night I'd broken down, I also went a different way to work this morning, had I gone my usual route there would have been nowhere remotely safe or useful to pull over when it happened.
I'm quite tempted by the food box but I wouldn't be in during the day for them to deliver, I wonder if they'd just leave it...?

When I checked out they had about 15 different options for where you could ask them to leave it (in porch/behind bin/at front door/in garage etc) so I don't think that'd be an issue.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thank you for the link Dinah. Quite fancy that. A good price too. We'd hardly need any other shopping apart from milk (oh if I only had a cow in the garden
) don't know whether to just buy it or actually wait til DH gets home and show home first.
Shrimpy. Sorry to hear about your car. Although you must have magic powers to go a different way this morning. Yay to good Samaritans.
I have got loads to do today. Didn't get anything done yesterday. A very good friend of mine buried her husband yesterday (at 31yrs old). The funeral was packed. Afterwards I couldn't shake the thought of "that could have been me" and I felt so emotional I just couldn't do anything really.
So today I have to tidy both the front room and the kitchen and try to finish sewing my blanket together. All before my 2nd funeral of the week  later this afternoon. Feeling very down at the momentGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Good luck to NIM!
Don't tempt me to spend more money I already bought two pairs of shoes this week and don't get paid til next Friday! (Prawn 1 and Prawn 2 - not sure they're to everyone's tastes though!)
That's so weird about your dream Shrimpy! I dreamt one of my friends was pregnant (in addition to the one I know about) but not clear who it was - I'm always right with those ones *eyes all the girls in here suspiciously*
EDIT - Hugs StarIt's awful, so sad. Try to let it make you make the most of life though, rather than pondering on death. Maybe not today but going forward xx

Well I'm still here... working! :rotfl: TWO deadlines today no less, but luckily a whole weekend off after that :j :j Struggling to focus a bit this morning though.
Birdie, your weekend sounds lovely!

I liked the second pair of shoes Tete. Not too keen on the 1st pair but that's personal taste.
Jumps in straight away in regards to Tete's dream to say "not me" at least I blimin well hope not. 2 is my limit!
Lara glad you've got a whole weekend off. You are working very hard lately.

Shoesies are very you Tete!
How gutting about your car Shrimpy! I learnt how to change a wheel a few years ago but the only time I've needed the skills was when my friend got a flat and realised that 'the big heavy lumpy bag of tools' that she'd removed from her boot the week before was the jack and spanner thingy so we still had to call her Dad to bring them out to the car (which was fun as we were just 'out for a drive' and had no idea whereabout in the Dales we were!)
Sorry to hear about the 2 funerals Star. Not the best week, eh?
Just been for a long lunch with a little too much wine for a lunchtime with my team.Trying hard to look like I'm concentrating on work when I just want to go home for a nap!

We have a contractor working with us (who was on a 3 month contract a year ago but keeps getting renewed in 3 month blocks) and because he gets paid twice as much as me we made a rule a while back that every time he gets his contract renewed he has to take us out for lunch! So it's all free for me, and we go to one of the poshest places in town! :TOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary.
