Meh, not much happening babywise and I'm bored and fed up! :o I'm now looking at having a 2014 baby at the earliest... I wouldn't have believed that 2 years ago! The friends that we're going away with in September are trying too and our other friend said 'Oooh you could both have holiday babies!' then did a quick count and realised that if we did we'd be due around her wedding so had a big panic that we'd miss it and demanded we attend even if we're in labour or coming straight from the hospital with a newborn! :p I thought I'd feel less pressure once nephew arrived but my parents, in an attempt to make me feel better I'm sure, keep saying 'It's different when it's your daughter having the baby. You feel more attached and involved. When you have a baby we'll be buying you loads and spending more time helping out etc etc'. It's nice but makes me feel bad at the same time as I feel like there's a lot riding on my womb even without taking the in-laws into account! :o

On the plus side, I'm taking great pleasure in my baby free time right now. :)

Your parents sound so lovely Birdie. My mother would say the same thing. She has far more input into myself and my sisters chidlren than my brothers. And my mother also said that when each of her child had a baby it was just as exciting as if it were her first grandchild all over again.

Would you consider charting, or have I asked you this before? Apologies if I have.

Yes you have. :p It won't do me any good, I'm an erratic sleeper and my temps can vary wildly from one day to the next. :o I have the Clear Blue fertility monitor and even before using that I knew when the time was right (the monitor just confirms it) so there's no issue there... it's just getting the darn things to turn into babies!

What a good way to look at it - get that wine and brie into you!

I think Lauren will win the Sewing Bee, unless Ann comes up with something fantastic next week - she's really good but not adventurous enough for the judges I don't think. I liked Tilly, I've been following her blog for a while and love the style of things she makes, so TBH I was quite surprised at how not-amazing she was on the show :o Better than I could have beenunder pressure I'm sure, but her patch pockets were surprisingly ... *whispers* shoddy. Anyway, I've been loving the whole thing, the series has been far too short but I'm so inspired not just to make more stuff, but to take more care to finish it nicely (Lauren's floral seams on her jacket last night..! :happyhear) and be a bit more adventurous both in the items I make and the skills I use (I totally know how to do a French Seam but do I ever do it?!) Whew, sorry for the outpouring, just really enthused at the mo! Who on here is going to make a shirred dress for their daughter???

I heard the Clear Blue Fertility monitor is good alright. I just used the cheapo piddle sticks when trying for Max. When you look at the science of it though, it's actually amazing that anyone gets pregnant. There are so many different variables.

I found this to be a good read:

I have sent you a PM too

Indeed! Wine, brie, pate, rare steaks, mojitos! Happy days! :)

I liked Tilly too; the pressure must have got to her big time though. It must be so difficult to make something without preparation in a set number of hours with cameras following you and the judges asking probing questions to put you off! The fact that any of them succeed is incredible! :o

Looking forward to seeing what you make! Why don't you make a shirred dress for yourself?! :) Oh and I laughed my head off last night when they were praising Lauren's rouleau straps (?) and afterwards Ann got sniffy and said that she could have made hers that small! :p

Haha I must have missed that bit! I think Sandra shot herself in the foot a bit there (although I agreed with her!) :( I liked her too.

Ahem, I don't think shirred bodices are the most flattering on the breastically-challenged :p

I think my two would love peppa pig world too. We are going to try to get there this year, hopefully.

Sorry things are taking longer than expected Birdie. If you know when your ahem "best time" is then I'm not really sure what to suggest. I kind of wish I could say "do this..... And it'll work first time" but I can't sorry x

I love all the GBSB chat. I can't watch it so follow it on twitter. I should really check it out on iplayer but I'm getting so lazy in the evenings. It's awful :(

I missed the Sewing Bee last night, have it recorded but I couldn't keep away from Twitter last night so I saw who got sent home

Same here! Really enjoying though, and all the chat happening among you crafty types here :) I'm very inspired, but still apparently very lazy and ungifted :p

Sounds very wise - and fun! You never know what's going to happen and when, but hopefully your time will come soon. You'll make awesome parents, but definitely enjoy the no-strings cuddles in the mean time.

But blimey, those pics of Grace are enough to make anyone broody! Looks like you had a fab time, Dinah. I don't think you're biased - she is so gorgeous and smiley :) Glad NIM's job hunt is sound positive too. Fingers crossed something concrete happens soon.

Anyone wanna see a picture of a fox cub? Just uploading it to my computer now...
