Congrats Birdie!! What's his name, are we allowed to know? How did you get on with the plaque last night? You and I are kindred spirits on that front I think ;)

I was going to wade into the Leeds commute yesterday but was too busy - even if NIM gets a job there that is equivalent to what he'd earn at home, you do have to factor in commute time and quality of life too - Leeds is a long long way away to travel daily - I certainly wouldn't want to do it. But I'm sure you've thought of all this.

Right lots to do today..... There always is on a Friday isn't there?!

He's called Jake. :) I did pretty well last night actually, plaque thingy is more or less finished and looking cute and colourful! Also got a mini album kit from The Works for £2.99 so starting working on that whilst I was waiting for paint and Mod Podge to dry on the plaque, need to take lots of photos tonight to stick in it! :) Have just realised that I haven't made a card though. D'oh! :p

Put the violin away Cinny, we're here!

Never get to play my damn violin :(

That's insane about the car! Hope he manages to find something soon. How's Grace doing?

Yikes, I'm so glad I don't ebay with charges like that! Have you thought of using a local courier? My Dad did when he went through his ebay season and with fixed prices, pick ups from home etc it worked out far better. Plus he got free packing supplies once he became a familiar face!

Awwww, we have another Jake in the world! Congrats to your Brother and SIL, Birdie :) I love the name Jake, just be careful your OH doesn't lump him with the name "Jake the Snake" My Brother still gets called that :p

Of course, I remember that conversation now!! Sounds like you had a productive evening :T

I hadn't realised Royal Mail have put their prices up, I was just having a a general gripe about the slot thingy the other day! Will go through my ebay pile and put any borderline things in the charity bag instead - ebay really isn't worth the hassle sometimes :(

Anyone got good weekend plans? How was NIM's thing yesterday?

Hehe, OH has already started to call him Jaaaaaaaaaake in an effort to wind my Mum up! :D

My weekend plans will probably depend on if/when we can get a boiler man to come and fix our boiler! No hot water, no heating... not a happy bunny! Have to shower at my Mum's tonight. :(

    Absolutely love the name Jake!

I am bringing OH to this restaurant tonight for his birthday: https://www.easternseaboard.ie

And for a present we are going here for a weekend

We are going in May and it will have been 18 months since we were away together so it is much needed!

I had driving lesson number 3 today and was learning to drive around roundabouts. Scary stuff!

Ooooh the restaurant and hotel look lovely CMD! Lovely treats for your OH! :)

Well done on the driving too, roundabouts can be scary at first, but you'll master it soon enough! :)

Congratulations on becoming an auntie Birdie. Hope you get lovely cuddles with the little man.

Roundabouts are the worst CMD! Which lane do you get in? When do you pull out? Please don't cut anyone up! :o you'll soon get it though!

Congrats Birdie!!! Have you been to see Jake yet? I love being an Auntie. (I'm the 'cool Auntie' :D).

Well done CMD - roundabouts already?! I thought it took a few lessons just to work out how to start and go forward :rotfl:

Well we got the wallpapering done yesterday, a few slight boo-boos but it's looking great overall.

BUT the pants MDF company lost my order as the boss is away and the lady in the office is new and completely inept. :wall: She says she will call for delivery on Monday or Tuesday but I am not so sure. Bah humbug.

So the closet will be finished next week for sure :T And the worktops arrive on Saturday, bring it on!! Got some friends coming around for dinner tonight. Nice weekend plans, but got to catch up on loads of work too.
