Had my occupational health meeting this morning, thankfully it went well. He agreed with the GP, not fit for work in any capacity.

Daft question. I was thinking about an Achievement April as a slightly lighter one compared to March Madness. For anyone with a day zero list or 30 before 30/40 before 40 list it's simple - how many of your goals can you get done this month? Spend this month putting some time into your personal development to recharge ready for another financial challenge come May. If you don't have a list already maybe either sit this month out or get yourself over to day zero to set some goals! A lot of us have these lists expiring this year, and I don't think any of us are over half way yet.

I like this idea Dinah. I don't actually have a list on day zero. I did have a list of things to do before I turned 30 which I mostly completed. Maybe I should start a 40before 40 list as I've got 10 whole years to complete them :rotfl:

ETA glad your meeting went well

Yes I am deffo up for that! There are loads of little things on my Day Zero list that are doable if only I put aside time to do them :o I also have a list of goals for the year on my blog and a million to do lists!

Glad the meeting went well :)

Oh good idea for April! I'm in! :) I went through my Day Zero list a couple of months ago and rewrote it since some of my goals have changed.... and I've lost the bleeding list! D'oh! Will have to have another look!

Good news about the meeting. :)

Hey there Wendz! Was wondering where you'd got to! Great news about the house! :)

I've rewritten a few of my goals in the past, but figure now I'm so close to the end I'll just do a new list :D

I'm at a respectable 37% complete, but I've mostly done the easy ones where I am forced to go on holiday, or made tasty food :D Some I have changed a bit here and there. Gutted I didn't do any of the language learning I had planned :(

I'm at 46% complete so would like to get over 50%. A lot of them are in progress and more longer term but there are some that I could tick off this month I think. 30 day Shred is actually one of them, as it getting to goal weight :o so that all ties in quite nicely! Although making a pie is another which definitely doesn't!

That's a nice April goal! I might find/create/adjust my existing Day Zero list over the weekend and include a fair few 'easy ones' to get me started :D

Tete, I'm doing 5:2 thing, and I think Archers too... Makes perfect sense to me :) Even on a simple calories in/calories out basis it works - I personally find it much easier to fast for two days and eat an average 1500/1600 cals for the other five, rather than stick to 1200 religiously every day. And if all - or even some! - of the health benefits are true, then it's worth it. I'm trying not to get too evangelical about it though!

That's exactly what I was thinking! So what do you eat on the 'fast' days then, do you find you're hungry?

Haha Shrimpy, yeah a couple of mine are to conquer my cooking nemeses - ie blueberry muffins, millionaire's shortbread and good Yorkshire puddings and gravy (I've got the gravy down) :o I'm at 29% but some are quick and easy things so I need to get my finger out really rolleyes.gif

Normally I have oatbran for breakfast (better than porridge!) with a cuppa and then fish/chicken and veg or omelette and salad for dinner. I don't snack or have milk during the day - you can use the 500 cals however you like, but this seems to go against the "science" behind it. I have just had some sugar free jelly though :D Loads of fruit tea, water and the occasional diet coke to get me through. Headaches and hunger pass! It's made me realise how much I eat just because I like eating/am a bit bored.

I'm the same, loads of my goals involve baking/cooking challenges (still haven't got over croquembouchegate) or going for treats!

Tete, have you tried Nigella's cornmeal blueberry muffins - foolproof and delish!

ETA: Dinah, really glad your occupational health meet went well, must be a relief.
