MFW seems so grown up and organised - do you think our rabble will cut the mustard over there?! I'm hoping we'll be on MFW by then.. probably not going to ever leave this forum are we?! 80 years old, logging on to talk about our pensions
I'm sure the closet will look great, Lara. You've put a lot of thought into it and didn't just rush into the project - that's when you get problems (talking from experience)

In 2017 I will be 32. NIM hopefully will be in uni, we'll still be skint. In my ideal world the business with dad will be running well enough that I'll be half time in my day job at the council, and half time with him. Asked a week ago we'd also have a second baby as Grace will be in school, and I don't want more than a 5 year gap, but now I'm not so sure we're going to be able to afford a second one at all until its too late.
Try not to worry Dinah. Life has a strange way of working itself out. I was just saying the other day that when I was buying my first flat 10 years ago if someone had told me that I would be living back in Ireland in a RENTED house, still not able to drive I would have laughed in their face! And on the face of it, it doesn't sound great. Yet, I have 2 beautiful children, have visited and lived in some wonderful places, I am truly content with the area we live in now and the only 'regrets' I have are not learning to drive younger, and being irresponsible with money when I was younger. That's it though, onwards and upwards for us.
Yourself and NIM's path is just going in a different direction. You will get there in the end xTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Excellent advice
I like this game. In 2017 I'll be 36  and a qualified teacher, with a Masters in some Education-related subject, on my way to a promotion to subject leader or some such. Hopefully with a nice man in tow and a ring on my finger, but I try not to place too much emphasis on the stuff I can't control any moreWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Lovely advice CMD. Dinah you never know what will happen in the next five years, and you have a very good track record of debt-busting!! You two will definitely be MFW by 2017!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

I think that's so true CMD
I would try not to worry Dinah, we don't always get what we expect but sometimes what we do get is even better than what we thought we wanted anyway
Can't believe how different my now is from the now I thought I would have 4 years ago and I couldn't even possibly guess at the next 4 years....what a worrying lack of a life plan :eek:Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Sorry just posted on the fb group but 11th May is good for me! (is it ok if OH comes?! We're making it a bit of weekend trip for his birthday too!) :money: And tickets aren't too expensive, woohoo! The macaroon charity gift idea is very sweet though Cinny!
You're so thoughtful! I'm nervous too btw..
Sounds like Grace had a lovely first birthday party! So lovely that Birdie and Tete could see it too, especially after knowing all the ups and downs that got her here
Hope it's good news on that job Shrimpy!
I haven't got a clue where I'll be in 2017! 28 and as long as I'm debt free and happy things should be ok! It'll be interesting to see if we are where we predict/hope to be though.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Great words of advice from CMD!
2017 seems so far away! I'll be 26, hopefully own a home or be well on our way to getting there. Debt free, with a little Gryffin or Ivy (thanks for putting me off the name Ralph, ladys!)
It's fine by me if your OH's there, Zig! Just found out I can get straight-through trains for the same price, because I'm lazy, so I'm happy!0 -
Stupid work keeping me busy today!
Like the 'where will we be in 4 years game'! I'll be 32, hopefully in a proper house with a garden and stairs (!!!!) and maybe with a munchkin finally in my little family. We'll have hopefully grown up a little by then too although I doubt it!
I'm excited about the great closet reveal too!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Glad everyone had nice Birthdays
In 4 years I'll be 28 eep. Would definitely like to have my own home by then if my work location has settled down, couple of promotions, OH to be fully trained in his job, would love to get married and have an amazing honeymoon - but as Tete says you can't control some things! Maybe thinking babies, but that's still a scary thought...
Beccie - I was going to tell you to go to Brazil anyway but if cheap havianas are your thing then it's an absolute must. No one wears anything else!

I'm glad Grace had a lovely birthday. Hope you enjoyed it too Dinah even through all the stress.
I prefer the 4years time chat than the height/weight chat as that was very depressing being the shortest one and the heaviest
In2017 I will be 34, my kids will be 9 and 5. Hubby and I will have been married 12 years!! we will be debt free and at the start of our "build our forever home" journey. HopefullyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
