Hi rising.
just had a quick catch up. hope you are feeling a bit better today. i feel for you having a rubbish work place. mine are very uncool-operative with sickness so i'm not looking forward to the whole convo about maternity leave & returning.
hope you got out for a long walk with Maisie. Wrapped up warm and the fresh air would help with the cold

Aww poor you Rising it sounds like you are going through the wars...I hope you start to perk up a bit soon
I used to be really scared of needles but I think the more injections etc you have you get used to them. I don't even bat an eyelid now! Even my nasty hormone things they inject into my tummy every month don't bother me too much these days and those are the biggest darn needles I've ever seen!!!:eek:Official DFW Nerd 1390 MFW 0/1800

I'm not errrrr good with them at the best of times (am allergic to penicillan and quite a few other things so it's really hard to find ones I can take) - they're also the major suspect in what caused the Crohn's flare(I'd have 3 lots to try to shift an infection) *sigh*
Hopefully it'll shift ... fingers crossed!
Right really must go & find something for dinner ... still haven't done the meal plan yet
Snap...I am allergic to penicillin as well. It made me come out in a nasty rash as a baby and now everyone is terrified to give me anything containing it. A bit of a pain in the butt really!
I should start doing meal plans now we are debt free and trying to save like mad. It's just really hard at the moment as my boyfriend and I are living in my bedroom at my mothers house and we don't get along with anyone (I won't bore you with tales of my crazy family whom I have disassociated myself from) so we try to do most of our living/eating etc from my bedroom.
We have a tiny little fridge in my room so it's hard to stock up on good offers, and no freezer so we can't freeze anything. Really hard at the moment but we manage to only spend £150 a month on food/toiletries/anything else grocery related for the two of us which I think is quite good considering the circumstances!Official DFW Nerd 1390 MFW 0/1800

Chop an onion and a few cloves of garlic (small pieces), put in a jar (one you never want to use for anything else), cover with honey or sugar, leave for a few hours, take teaspoons of the resulting syrup.
I like Lemsip with a good dollop of honey, and a stiff measure of vodka and/or whiskey. Seeing as your remedy has honey in as well it could be that it is the active ingredient.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.

Morning Rising,
Hope you don't bruise too much on your right arm so they can do your treatment through there. How long does the treatment take?. What can you do while its being done?.
Hope the cold is easing now, poor you, you have enough on your plate. I wonder if you have the cold from being abit worn down going back to work etc.
Make sure you look after yourself tonight. Have a nice hot bath etc.
Take care xx0 -
Before I forget ..... hi Mort:D nice to see you're still lurking ... hope Mrs Mort is keeping you in order!;)unoriginal_uk wrote: »I should start doing meal plans now we are debt free and trying to save like mad. Ohhhh that sounds a bit difficult but I guess if the rent's cheap & it's letting you a) clear debts (now done!:j:j) and save up some money to get your own place, it'll be worth it in the long termI'm another allergic to penicillin amongst other antbiotics and medications...

It's such a pain sometimes ..... anyway, pleased to say that my bloods are ok!:) The infection one is up (not surprisingly!) but not so much that they wouldn't do it!StressedSteph wrote: »Hope you don't bruise too much on your right arm so they can do your treatment through there. Awwww thanks Steph - I was on extra drugs to support my (near non-existent) immune system - which finished last week.... hence I now have cold  It's getting betterbut throat still really sore......
Treatment take around 2 hours but you've then to sit for 2 hours afterwards (in case you have a reaction to it). It's not too bad - basically you're in a chair with the drip attached ... you can get up to go to the loo, stretch your legs for a few mins etc.
One of the reasons I like my left hand free is so that I can do crosswords etc!:)
Just a quick visit - did a bit longer at work today so pretty tired (and saw every hour again last night) - have had Maisie out so think it'll be dinner, bath, PJs and something on "the box"!

Evening Rising,
Your evening plan sounds like heaven to me. My favourite night in.
Can I ask you something:-
What pet insurance do you have for Maisie.? We have a border Terrier and would like to get her insured. But i am finding the world of pet insurance is a complicated thing.
I am going to have a look at the Pet Care thread, but I was just curious about what company you use?. You seem like savvy kinda gal that would have found a good one.
Thanks Steph x0 -
good to see that your bloods aren't going to stop your treatment and that you're feeling a bit better x0
