can anyone help? i ordered on 5th Nov the "LEGO: Lord Of The Rings and LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Bundle [XBox 360]" with an estimated delivery of 23-11-12 when LOTRs was released, i called and asked why they had not delivered on 28th and they said i could take up to a month and that i could always cancel and take my business elsewhere as they hadn't taken any money from me, now i am looking at other places to purchase this but on looking at their site today they are not even selling it, do i have any recourse on this matter as they shouldn't be able to offer a pre-order when they won't be getting any stock Surely?

Have had endless problems with Zavvi ebay outlet, happy to take your money but delivery is hopeless. Rubbish communicators as well. I've finally got them to agree to send the missing part of my order but it was ordered nearly a month ago.0

They do take their sweet time and just because you pre ordered did it guarantees delivery for a set date? If not then they ship when they get around to it.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

the item i ordered is not even offered on their website anymore but the ps3 version is... these were meant to be santas presents to my kids!0

Maybe, just maybe it is not available anywhere. Sometimes items have a planned date and then that falls by the way side.
The perils of leaving gifts to the last month can often mean disappointment (and Amazon can be one of the worst culprits for this).Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
i know its not really helping your original problem - but i've just ordered Lego Lord of the Rings - XBox 360 for £30.85 at Simply Games (cheapest i could find if you are still after it) and got a despatch email within half an hour.0

I'm currently in a dispute with them and it's taking the mick - ordered a game off of them, paid for it and was all well and good...until a "payment problem" occured.
It couldn't have been that much of a problem as the money had came out of my account and is showing on my bank statement as been taken by Zavvi (but, according to their oh-so-helpful customer service staff, there has been NO money taken...)
So, they agreed on the fourth time of calling that the order would be cancelled, passed onto their IT department and the money refunded to me. I was supposed to get a response "within 24/48 houts"...over a week later, I am STILL WAITING for said response.
Their service is nothing short of a joke and I, for one, will NEVER be using them again.
To rub it in, I ordered said game from elsewhere...that came the next day; no problem at all.0 -
Zavvi are rubbish. I once ordered something and got fobbed off about them getting stock from suppliers. In the end I had to cancel!:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j0

A couple of months ago there was a deal posted on here for a TinTin DVD Box Set and DS Game for £10. A lot of us ordered it, confirmation e-mail received saying will take up to a month to deliver. Card was not charged. A couple of weeks later received a cancellation e-mail saying that order had been cancelled but did not charge my card. Have kept an eye on my statement and no charge from them to date. A lot of us received cancellations. They don't seem v reliable at all, especially with the up to a month despatch estimate given.0

I vowed never to order from them again after my first 'zavvi' order with them when they changed ownership from virgin. I ordered FIFA street for my partner and after 10 days it hadn't arrived, they stipulate in terms you must allow 10 days before communications blah blah, 3 emails went unanswered, then I tried again with a lot of capital letters, the promise of no more custom and taking non delivery and no communication up with the relevant body for distance selling low and behold I received an email shortly after. They claimed to have never received anything from me, and that the item was infact delivered, how they knew this I don't know they don't require you to sign (I know this know). Anyway, after 3 or 4 emails reassuring them I definitely had not received the item they offered me a replacement or refund but only if I filled in a disclosure form! I did this, for a refund, no way was I waiting donkeys years for a replacement to never turn up again. Another 2 weeks waiting, backing the form, awaiting refund, finally after about 6 weeks I got my money back by then, didn't want the game anyway! Since then I have ordered again, I'm waiting for the item to arrive now cheapest price online lured me back dispatched 3 days ago. Fingers crossed!! Although I have a feeling I will regret this. The Year Of DreamsBig Love To All Comp Sharers
