DS has suspected measles! That is why he has been so sore and tired. His rash is very dramatic now. And I 've never had them, so hope he keeps them to himself!

He is not too bad, although the rash is very dramatic. We are not sure if it is measles or scarlet fever as rash looks like measles but he has infected tonsils and symptoms which sound more like scarlet fever - there is a few outbreaks of the latter so it may be more likely. so he is on antibiotics for the next 10 days whilst we wait for swabs to come back. It was always my proud boast that neither of my kids had ever had a course of antibiotics - they were always very healthy (or neglected, as most nurses' kids are!). This past year we have had his mental health issues to learn about, his sister's bone tumour and now this - any wonder I am going grey?
Anyway, the dance shoes went down well - and made a differance at last nights class. we had been going well, but the tutors have thrown in several new steps, so plenty of quarrelling and frustration again - just love it!
Had a wee bit of cash to tidy up in my accounts, so paid £15.77 into mortgage today - that covers the interest for a couple of days.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

Ds is on the mend finally - the rash is beginning to fade and he has started eating for the first time in a month.
Went to buy eggs late last night and found black pudding reduced to 15p, lorne sausage to 49p and pork chops to £1.50, so tea tonight is a mixed grill. However, my favourite local fish restuarant have just posted a photo of fresh lobster caught today and are doing it as a takeaway - mmm, lobster and chips, sounds better than 15p black pudding:D. Must not spend, must not spend...
Rain forecast all weekend so not much gardening i think. Off to the theatre tomorrow to see Happy Days - tickets already paid for. Got a pile of library books to read through so think it will be a quiet weekend - might get some batch cooking done.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

OH managed to get a bit of garden done yesterday and upcycled some paving slabs instead of buying gravel as planned. There is still heaps to do, but it's starting to come together. It's been a quiet weekend otherwise, good for the moneysaving. I managed to get my new account up and running and should be getting a bit of interest on that.
DS nipped to the shops and found 10 eggs for 48p and 4 packets of pastry for 25p. So thats the freezer full again.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

been a quiet week, but off tomorrow up north to see freinds who moved house a few weeks ago. Looking forward to a catch up and a nice meal out. tonight we spent the evening in the garden, ate supper out there - it is a wee suntrap. Tatties coming up, onions, herb garden and courgettes all thriving. Our neighbour found a seagull's nest on his roof and removed it - i think they have started building on our roof now
I have started walking OH to work every morning and then continue around the town for an hour. Trying to get fit, it's helped that the weather has been so nice this week.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

trip up north cost us a fortune - petrol, nice meal out and a housewarming present for freinds. Then i realised Mr P has no clothes so had a trip to the shops with my pal, who is due a grandchild this summer so baby clothes bought to celebrate - and a few jumpers for OH. really, really skint now till payday and June is going to be a nightmare for similar reasons.
I have 2 weeks overtime coming up as partner on holiday, so that will help, although hate working more and won't manage my morning walk because of early morning communte.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

overtime going quite well and got another 10 hours extra claimed for last month. i have been leaving early and arriving in town in time for a quick 30 mins in the park. It's the most boring park in the world! but at least i still getting a bit of excercise.
Just waiting until payday at the end of this month, think i should have about £70 left in account. Its going into savings fund, but will try and get an overpayment to mortgage - i definately miss seeing that total fall. got some bad news - our direct debit for gas and electric has been increased to £164  from £113. Not sure why it is so high - no tumble drier or dishwasher and only 6 loads of washing a week. And the heating is hardly on - although boiler is pretty old, so might need a more economic one soon.
signed up to greenredeem and did some online quizes and managed to claim a moneyoff voucher for M &S food, so got that to look forward to.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
