I have to say it's soooo nice to receive a letter from a creditor showing a £0.00 balance. Got my confirmation letter through for the extra payment I made at the begining of April.:j
It also had the magic words Account Closed on it, so I dont have to phone them to request this.

So to plug on at the last debt, seeing one paid off is so inspiring :)

    Happy Tuesday everyone :)

Just been doing some calculations and I only have 8 more payments until my Debt Free Day :j
Decembers wages should clear it right up.

I am sooo pleased with myself -
    Original DFD October 2014
New DFD after leaving fee paying company May 2014
New DFD after paying off a debt and cutting back to pay my last creditor an extra £100 per month December 2013

I came back to MSE last October after having what I would call my actual LBM and can not believe how far I've come.
Shows you really can do it when you want to - and I did this time.

Since the last payment will be slighlty less by £90, I'm hoping to sell some stuff on ebay to bring this down - if this isn't an incentive to get my Ebay bum in to gear I dont know what is!

Will up date with any sales and hopefully it will be good news :)

    Super Happy Tuesday everyone :)

    Good Afternoon,

So, I have items on eBay and they all have watchers, now I just need the bidders!!

I had a thought, I'm doing the sealed pot challenge, I was going to use the money for Christmas but it's so tempting to put it towards the last debt come November. I've managed the past years without saving for Christmas, so it wouldn't be any different if I used it.....

I feel a bit impatient as I know it's goodbye debts this year - when your waiting for time off or something your looking forward to time always goes slower!! But it could just be me!

Not much of an update but I feel better now I've had a moan!

    Happy Monday everyone

    Good morning,

First up I would like to have a moan about people who constantly moan about the weather-
    - this is the UK we are not know for our tropic summers
    - yes there may be times it could blow off a day out, but the persons attitude has a choice between stomping off like a 5year old and sulking or going 'we could always do this instead'
    - why moan about something you CAN NOT CONTROL??????

Rant over, thank you. (you may have guessed someone has been really irritating me)

Next a confession 'I brought shoes:(' with the ebay money I was going to put on my debt. The £25.11 I made is now budgeted in to July so it goes where it should have. Have also put my next batch of items on ebay so here's hoping for another £25 after fee's and what not.

On the 1st of July I will have another 6 payments to go although it could be called 5 2/3 cause that sounds better:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone :)

    Good afternoon,

So far Ebay has netted me £45 after fees :jso far. I have more to go on I also have approx £90 in my sealed pot challenge. so £135 altogether towards my target of £260 by the 1st of December. £260 is the last payment on my debt due to go out on the 1st January 2014. I figured if I could save this then how nice it would be to be debt free before the year end and start saving on the 1st January instead :j

I recently felt a really big compulsion to spend especially on eBay out of 82 watched items i'm down to 47 and have only brought one dress :o
I managed to control it by checking each morning and evening all the items that were due to end that day and asked myself some questions such as -
Do I need it as opposed to want?
What would I sell to make room for it?
    Is it pratical?
And so on.......I actually found myself laughing at some of the items I had put on there!!

Finding it really hard getting into the Monday work routine and i'm off home soon!!! Maybe there will be an augument about the garden, hoping the landlord will call back so it can all be resolved. 2 different people are claiming it belongs to different persons, it's doing my nut.

    Have a good day :)

    Good afternoon everyone,

Garden situation = I WON (thanks to the landlord) Now I can get some plant's that will never die, supposedly!

My compulsive spending urge is over and I feel so much better, it really was like a struggle battling it but 1 dress for £5.35 including £2.40 postage, I really cant be to hard on myself, it could have been so much worse.

    Happy Friday everyone :j

    Good Morning everyone,

I realised I have brought quite a bit from fleabay this month so August is a No Spend on Fleabay month - this is going to be so much harder than it sounds.
All selling have finished and I have no reason to either. Quite frankly I'm not sure where I got all the extra money from, which always makes me think what haven't I paid!! Review of budget may be due.

Received confirmation that my car is dying, basically it is going to cost too much to repair, so if it would make it through to the end of the year I would be grateful. So the mission begins to find the funds for a new one.

I have decided to open an ISA once I'm debt free so I can put my money away and not spend it as if it was in my account. Basically it will be a rainy day fund, of which I have never had before.
Also the pension will be upped and a small amount will be put into my instant access savings so I have something should it be needed.

I really do not want credit again, the exception may be a mortgage, but that's a long way off if it ever happens.
I'm hoping that having a contract phone and the gas bill in my name will help a little with rebuilding my credit profile.
Although it hasn't put off Vanquis who keep sending me applications through the post, they now get binned without being opened, have felt like putting 'return to sender not wanted' on the envelope!!

    Have a wonderful Monday :j

    Hello again!

Just phoned creditor to get a balance and I was spot on (all except an evil 1p) with my bookkeeping. Having redone my budget I am able to pay an extra £50 per month towards the debt meaning in 5 paydays time I will be debt free and the whole of the December pay packet will be MINE:j

So will have words with car about making it through until the end of the year then fingers crossed should be plain sailing, so the theory goes!

I am so pleased, now the question is how much can I reduce Novembers (now the final) payment by?!

    Have a good day :)
