I was going to suggest the same thing, ours has been on the blink and is only doing the 1/2 hr wash at present, but have recently got clobbered by comet, luckily it was on credit card so managed to get the money back via them, we bought the day before they went into administration, how unlucky is that. anyhow although we got the money, im a bit wary now of getting another one. Might be worth putting on a credit card just for protection purposes if you do order one.0

Just looked on free cycle (very good idea - will remember for future reference), though everyone else in my area is also looking for one!! Will have to keep an eye on this just in case.
Saterkey - unlucky with comet, thank goodness you got your money back.:)
Since I do not have a computer at home I will bid everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year

Hey Diary,
Already it feels like Christmas never happened, why do you sink back into work so quickly!! :rotfl:
Spending diary went to pot in December so I'm starting afresh in January and writing things down when the get purchased! Already overspent on my food allowance this week and its only been a 3 day week - £6.10, should only be a £5 at the max, so that's less next week, but !!!! kicking time is in order and lunches will be made again!
Doing well on the toiletries challenge and have hit target on the NSD challenge since I started in October. Really looking forward to February's payment as it will bring me under £4000 :j Also paid an extra £20 off one debt yesterday. Really wish I had an extra £117 hanging about so I could make it £4000 NOW!!!!!
Am going for a declutter this weekend (although I have threatened this to myself many times before). After that it's Ebay and any items that don't sell can go to the charity shop.
Health has improved and I feel quite good at the moment:)
I have calculated if I can find an extra £635 this year I can be debt free on the 31/12/2013 - ooooh I feel a challenge coming on - Imagine finishing 4 months early......drroooooolll:rotfl:
Work is calling so I best be off
Have a good day

Hello,
I have decided a new washing machine will not happen yet, I would rather pay off my debts and since I have been using the launderette for the last 4 months I can wait a few more.
Realised yesterday that I am changing my way towards spending - I went into boots and wanted something (a half price xmas gift) and instead of buying it for the sake of it actually figured I didn't need it as I wouldn't even use half of the products. Walked away empty handed. Back in August, September it would have been 'what the hell'!
Very pleased with self:D
I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel (a way off) but the point is it's not a lost cause.
Need new boots as they have given up on me
So back to cold feet whilst I find a decent pair at a reasonable price
Enough rambling for now, byee

Today-
I actually got up when the alarm went off - yay
Took my time getting ready for work - yay
Left for work earlier - yay
Got in sat and seatbelt jammed - Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ran to station - puff puff
Jumped on the train without a ticket - bad (it had arrived as I arrived at the station!)
Brought ticket on train - there goes the NSD!
Get off train and wonder into M & S Food - bad
Buy figs and strawberrys to cheer self up- haven't decided if this is good or not!
The rest of the day panned out pretty normally so far but I am now hoping the train won't be delayed going home and fixing the seatbelt won't cost to much.
Going to call out the RAC, hopefully I will be able to get an idea of what needs doing (please don't be expensive)- to petrified to drive with out seat belt.
Why didn't I buy chocolate instead!DEBT FREE on the 23rd December 2013

Good news the RAC chap fixed the seat belt with no cost YAY :j
Sister is annoying me again, I asked innocently where something was and got a curt reply of 'we had to sell it' I fear they will loose their home before they have their LBM
I haven't been asked for money yet, I know others have, but I will resolve to be strong and say no (not that I have any to lend) but I rather she didn't speak to me and sulk because I refuse her, than to fall out over lending and repayments.
I suggested she stop her pension for 6 - 12 months to give her a bit more to sort herself, but I just got a gobfull of how shes not being poor when she retires. It made me wonder if I was stupid to stop mine to help myself out, I have always told myself I can catch up. Oh well old and poor but no debts!
I was lucky enough to get a payrise last week, not much but it will help make a mini dent in my debts over the year, so I told OH this is what I might do. He is totally anti paying my debts off quicker, told me to stay with Churchwood and leave my payments as they are. I have decided to wait until all are paid off and then tell him I left CW Oct 2012, can't see me plucking up the courage anytime soon to tell him
There's a bit of snow here, it always looks so pretty when it sits on the tree's

It's been a while so a quick catch up -
No washing machine yet - extra money went towards debts
(and OH has started buying chips when were out and I have an extreme weakness for cheesy chips!!!):D
I Get rid of one of my debts in May, so that's one left to go. Ebay pending I could get rid of it in April - I'm sooo excited :j
Still on course to have them all paid off next year = 14 months time
Have left the sister situation - she is beyond help until her LBM. StressedSteph you were very right about this and I'm going to feel good about myself working hard to clear debts
I am now very good with budgeting and have had money left in my account at the end of the month since last October
March has been a  month, lost purse (cancelled cards), health went down hill (coming back up now), car repairs, and other smaller bits that just annoyed me for no reason!
You can only look up and onward's - Here's to April

Hi Mokoto,
Congratulations on clearing a debt, that's great news. I can't believe your OH doesn't know you have left the fee-charging dmp company, all good though. You should tally up the savings you have made and work out by how much it has brought closer your debt free day.
Well done on staving off the new washing machine, there comes a point in your debt free journey where you just have to say no to new things until the debt you want to clear is gone.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140
