Value washing up liquid I use to clean out animals cages as its cheap and works ok for that but its hopeless for dishes as it just does not shift the slightest bit of grease.

Value squash was vile. I can not even describe the flavour. It was sort of orange nail varnish remover with a hint of paint

Value bread gives OH a migraine ! Sainsburys basics cheese slices taste OK when you can get them off the backing - you end up throwing most of it away.

  • Tesco Value Pizza's, think they cost about 48p. The first time i saw these i thhought WOW a whole pizza for 48p!!! I have been eating them and feeding them to my teenager for a year now on nights when i am too tired to do a real dinner, or dont want the pots etc to wash up and they have been a godsend,

however now that i have stopped smoking i have got my sense of tast back and oh my god they are truly nasty!! the bases are ryvita l ike in texture, they are plastered t hick with cheap tomato puree and a mean sprinkling of cheese- disgusting, i had to apologise to my son for making him eat them in the spirit of MSE ha ha!

never again - this week i bought 2 p izza's for 2.98 (bogof) and much better!!

their beans, peas, yoghurts, scourers, bubble bath, and belgian chocs are all good though

ASDA smart price tinned tuna is OK (but not great) for cooking as long as you're going to add herbs and spices to basically cover the taste up but on its own in a sandwich - it looks and smells like cat food. I also once brought a smart price turkey leg and frozen smart price kievs which tasted fowl (wakka wakka ;) ) I'm surprised I didn't get bird flu from them! Asda own brand kit kats were like powder, just crumbled into powdered cardboard in my mouth. Ugh.

I thought asda smart price tuna was cat food !! :rotfl:

They have a factory where they squeeze cows until cheese comes out of their udders.
