Some Value things we've tried and haven't liked are.......

    mayonnaise
    salad cream
    teabags
    bleach
curry sauce (but @ 4p a tin it would do if you were stuck)
    sausages
tinned fruit cocktail (lots of very hard pieces)
chocolate (lidls chocolate is as cheap, but really nice)
    baked beans
    tinned spaghetti
    toilet roll

I'm sure theres a few more, but I can't remember right now. I actually think a lot of the value range is quite good.

Those are on my "like" list. Worth trying at least.

We've tried MrT value loo rolls & really didn't get on with them :o Quite annoyed about it, considering what the blummin stuff is used for but guess I've made us big softees where botty issues are concerned :D

Springforce??? What a violent name for a toilet roll!!!

Mr T's Discount brand half&half bread at 99p is nasty - small slices and not even nice when toasted. And I'm afraid I don't like their crumpets much either - they have an odd "sweet" taste - so will only get Warburtons or Kingsmill. Having said that, I've just joined the Weight Loss thread, so I guess I won't be getting many crumpets oozing with butter for a while:D
