    OH bought value vacuum packed beetroot last weekend, tasted of absolutely nothing - of course another batch might be better but I'd spend a few pence more on the regular packs.

    I think the Lidl chopped tomatoes are really good as well but I don't count that as value as it isn't branded as such. Are they still 21p? They were last time I stocked up. I don't go to Lidl much anymore.

    Tesco 'value' pasta sauce , was so sweet i thought someone had put 2lb of sugar in it .

    Any value sausages. All full of gristle eewwwwww!

    Also agree with the value washing up liquid it is pretty dire

    Yes! Same here - horrendous! Had to add some Ragu to it to dial it down!

    Just to let you know, it gets packed on the same line in the same factory, just using outsized beetroot. I reckon it was the batch...... (and there are only a few places they get the beetroot from)

    Can you tell that I used to work in that factory? :D
