OH bought value vacuum packed beetroot last weekend, tasted of absolutely nothing - of course another batch might be better but I'd spend a few pence more on the regular packs.0

I think the Lidl chopped tomatoes are really good as well but I don't count that as value as it isn't branded as such. Are they still 21p? They were last time I stocked up. I don't go to Lidl much anymore.0

Just to let you know, it gets packed on the same line in the same factory, just using outsized beetroot. I reckon it was the batch...... (and there are only a few places they get the beetroot from)
