The great start to the year continues. Only two days in and already 20 people have made overpayments.

Marie27lol, theyorkbrood, Lomcevak, Barny1979, catslovelycats and ecoelle your payments have all been added.

Along with twistedhazel, Calfuray and southernman from the Googledoc.

Make that 21 ops. AvidSaver's came through just as I was about to update.
  • Hi there, id like my name added to this! I'm aiming to make 6k overpayments in 2013!
I am insane and have 4 mortgages - total mortgage debt £200k. Target to zero = 10 years! (2030)

    Everyone's welcome.

Just say what your target is and I'll add you to the list.

    Thank you

Please add me to your list.

My target for 2013 is £16,831.70 which is what I owed at 30th December 2012 on my mortgage.

My intention is to either clear this sum by 31st December 2013 or move and be mortgage free by the year end.

No monthly pressures with the mortgage payment but we do need an extra bedroom, so we will probably look to sell in 2013 but selling can take a long time, so either way, I want rid of my mortgage by 31st December 2013.

If we do move in 2013 it will be without a mortgage.

    I did make a cheeky £500 o/p on 31st Dec 2012,

I will not find out for about a week what the revised balance is as Santander send me a letter and a mortgage payment came out on 2/1/13.
  • Happy New OPing Year Everyone.

Please can you put my January OP down as £250. Thank you so much Voucherman and Spiggle too - you are both stars!:)

    Good luck everyone in 2013

With my current SVR at 4.74% with Santander, my lender having decided to hike its SVR by 0.50% 3 months ago, I feel even better about making O/P's.

If the UK loses its coveted AAA credit rating soon, as I expect it might, I'm no expert but Santander must be experiencing singed flesh in its native country, so I would not be shocked if they used the old chestnut "its becoming more expensive to borrow money on the open market" and in due course hikes its SVR again.

Good luck everyone this year in your own personal journey x
