Very glad you're managing to stick with us, ickle, any OP is MUCH better than none, so try to hang on in there if you can. :T

    Thanks LB

Between my stubborn-ness and the support from these boards it'll take quite a bit to get rid of me! :D

    Hello VM :)

Another £2.87 for July please, and the usual £137.59 for August.

MFWs, I have a question for you, we are trying to decide on mortgage fix:

3.79 for 3 years with £100 cashback, or 3.94 for 4 years. Both no fees. Have run it through calculator, and mortgage one would be £200 better off, but then it's the security of 4 years?

In three years time I will have been out of university for one year, and hopefully have much more income coming in! We have emergency fund to cover us for 8+ months expenditure.

    Help!
  • I thought there wouldn't be anymore OP's for July from me. But my wonderful better half surprised me with a £350 cheque to put into the mortgage! She's great to me!

  • Woohooo, I thought we'd be in for the long haul on here BUT my in-laws gave us a cheque for 50K today, from the sale of their house! So, the first thing that's going to get paid off is our 30K mortgage. Thanks for the support on here, you're all so helpful to one another and keep going, great things can happen to ordinary people :D

  • Thanks guys :A
This has been a very difficult year health wise for me, I was extremely poorly at the start of the year and still need regular checks. This lovely windfall has lifted a huge weight off us, I know that if anything happens to me in the future my husband and children don't have to worry about the mortgage or keeping a roof over their heads (literally!) I usually try to update at the end of the month but I'll do a quick one now then there's not much left for tomorrow. :p

icklehelen your op is added and target amended.

ajmoney, Matt The Chippy and My life your ops are added for July along with an August op for CathT.

Calfuray both ops are on. With your August op added I make that target reached :T Would you like to increase your target or are you going to relax the purse strings for a few months?

6 months of ops added for greent. (yes you got the total correct)

Congratulations lemonpopsicle :j. Another name to add to this year's MF roll of honour. I'll be happy to add your name if you come back and let us know once you're officially MF.

Finally for this evening welcome to Ruthy1604 joining at number 143. Your July op is added.
