    Hi, VM,

My Op is wrong on the spready for July - I've OP'd by £800 but somehow only £36 is on the spreadsheet. :o If no one claims the £36, I'll have that as well as my OP. :rotfl:

I'm hoping to be on target...please, please.

    many thanks

Hi I am number 17 and I thank you all for your encouragement throughout my journey. I have not recached my goal of MF but I must withdraw from this year's challenge. We have just bought a 2nd property to rent out and my MIL lent us £15000 towards the deposit and we want to pay that back asap so we will no longer be making any OPs.

Good luck to you all

You have inspired me to increase this year's target to £5,500 please. Let's hope we can do it.

We will be mortgage free by 1st July 2014. If I say it often enough, it will happen! :j
Amended. Knew I'd come in useful one day. :D

    Hi VM

After some serious consideration I need to lower my target :( I have been toying with quitting my MF journey but feel we should still carry on but it's going to take a lot longer now! If I lower my target I will still have the motivation AND deal with our changes in personal circumstances.

Hopefully one day in the future all of this will pay off but for now could you lower me to £3000 please?

Also while I'm here I have another £312.25 for July.

    Many thanks

    ickle

We've just agreed a remortgage from the 1st November and moving products means the mortgage payment will be £223 less than what we pay today.

As the new provider allows unlimited overpayments without penalties, I've asked for the Direct Debit to be made out for the required monthly payment plus the difference we are saving and have actually rounded the overpayment up slightly to £225.

So I will be making overpayments in Nov & Dec for £225, leaving me with £1550 to find between now and the end of the year to pay as a one off lump sum to hit my target!

Very glad you're managing to stick with us, ickle, any OP is MUCH better than none, so try to hang on in there if you can. :T
